Maria’s Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Ogden

The best Mexican food I have had in a very long time. The salsa was fresh and in the "Goldilocks" zone for heat, for the masses. The Tajin sprinkled chips are a nice touch. Fish tacos were grilled, not breaded, and very good. Chile Verde was muy sabroso. Tasted the cheese enchilada and the tamale from my Beloved Spouse Unit's (BSU) plate and they were both spot on. Portions are more than plentiful. Neither BSU or my brother finished their meals and the order of guacamole was also packed for later. Only detracting issue is the decor. Clean and functional diner with no sparkle pretty well describes the atmosphere and furniture. Definitely going back. Oh yeah, the prices are very reasonable...

Ordered curbside gave them the make and model of my car left a tip for curbside delivery showed up on time waited 15 minutes finally went inside the hostess was standing there shooting the breeze with another employee. Told them I had a curbside order and had been waiting 15 minutes she picked up my order that had been sitting on the counter and handed it to me. My food was cold. Called back asked the manager was told they don’t have a manager? I’m guessing she is family. Told her what happened she was rude and said ok thanks for letting me know. Huge disappointment. The place is tiny. There were maybe 6 parties seated inside. There's no waiting area. The food was not the same as their other location in South Ogden. My chili Verde burrito was not yummy. My shredded beef taco was bland and chunky. The enchilada was just ok. Chips and salsa were the only good things. The service was slow but they were incredibly busy so I don't really fault them. Definitely won't be back to...
