Food was okay, service was absolutely deplorable. My husband I went to enjoy dinner on Sunday with a 7PM reservation, upon walking in we give our name to the hostess and we are sat at our table D4 where there were binders and jackets of the staff sitting on the ledge hanging over into the table area. After a bit of servers walking past the table, Tawny walks up and says " What do you want to drink?" (the only reason why I know her name is because I looked on the receipt afterwards) after we tell her waters and before we can order our other drinks she walks off. They were busy that night, but I myself have worked in the food industry nearly 8 years & before I left food services I held a managerial position at a well known restaurant in Bricktown; I get it; so when Tawny ran off I figured she was in the weeds. After we order the Saiko Combo $75+ and we are able to get our server to stay at out table for more than 15 seconds we order our pitcher of beer and we asked a question about the process of cooking, told we that will be explained later, so we carry on with our drinks waiting for our food. We start to get a few apps out at the same time that we are getting main meats for our course. Even though a few of the apps were self explanatory I would have liked to been told what I had in front of us. After I realize that we did not get two items on the appetizers and after I asked, our annoyed server told us they were out of one of the apps we ordered so " that's why I brought you the other one" ... her bringing out the other one was fine but if she would have taken a few moments to explain to us we wouldn't think that she was shorting us. Well, I ask for one of the apps that we did not get TOGO, we did get that. My husband asks another question about the cook times on the food and Tawny said "It's one minute on each side, simple enough right?" Not sure if she was being sarcastic or if she thought that we had an IQ of 27 but by this point Tawny had also been yelling from a circular table in the corner directly behind us for "DOM" across FOH to get his attention as he was assisting another table. After she yelled his name a few times she told him to "come get these dishes", those dishes she was mentioning were from other tables as well as ours, we had every single plate and bowl from our appetizers, main course, empty water glasses and empty pitcher before the hostess removed them from our table and sat them down on a table behind us. I noticed before we asked where our server was that we once again did not get everything that was ordered, we were missing a side and I honestly don't think it registered with our server when I asked her about it & she brought out our dessert after without commenting on the other missing food items. We finished up our drinks and got out of there, we still tipped because it could have been a off day for the restaurant but I think that our server is burned out on her job and I can tell just by her actions and mannerisms because she was not happy to serve us. I would have to end this review by saying, maybe don't go during their rush hours because of the frazzled staff and make sure that you are getting all of the items you ordered so you arent paying for food that you never got. Also, don't ask about the cook times because under a mask you'll get a dirty look and a...

Read moreI like Wagyu because it is reminiscent of when I lived in Japan. This is one of the closest yakiniku (grilled meat) places and when I heard they were opening up I was SUPER excited. Being completely honest, I waited to write my review until they got on their feet a bit. I went right when they opened and it wasn’t well put together at all but they have definitely improved since then. It’s still not a place I would recommend if you’re looking for a quick meal, but if you’re looking to have fun and relax with your friends/family, come!
The appetisers we’ve had have been pretty good. I like their kimchi moyashi a lot, and the fried rice balls with the spicy tuna on top are good. Their karaage could use some work. The wafu salad is yummy! The miso soup was good when I had it and their bibimbop is okay, the portions are a little small. The ramen isn’t bad, but if I’m paying I’d rather go to Tamashii. The course meals are really nice if you want to try a variety of what they have all at once, but after getting a tasting we prefer to just order a la cart and get what we really enjoy! The meat selections are pretty solid for the wagyu (we generally come for the beef). We usually get the miso skirt and the wagyu toro is pretty good. The beef tongue was great too. From what we’ve had of the chicken/seafood, it’s okay. The pork belly tastes more like normal bacon. The duck is excellent! Also, they have the best matcha ice cream from all the places I’ve tried in the area!
I do agree with some of the other reviewers about for the price of the a la cart items, it would be nice if you got some small dishes and a bowl of rice that came with it. Or, if you have to pay for rice, offer free top offs. I really enjoy the specials they have started coming out with this week. It makes it a little more affordable if you want to go out to a nice meal. My biggest suggestion would be to get real chopsticks! Or if you continue using disposables get the ones with the rounded ends. The pull apart/square ends are frustrating to eat with.
I have faith in this joint and that they listen to their feedback and are trying to accommodate what people want. Overall, I would...
