This place is special to us because this is where we discovered our love for Sushi a few months ago (and now we can't go long without having Sushi rolls)! So, when we were headed to Ontario Mills for some shopping this weekend, we already knew where we'd be having dinner! Market Broiler Ontario is right next door to the shopping mall, so if you're in the mood to have some good food and don't mind spending some moolah, then simply rush past the food court, out the door, walk a few steps and voila! You're at MB! The place has a huge seating area with lots of tables and booths, but despite that we've had to wait for a few minutes on both the occasions that we've visited. That tells you how much this restaurant is in demand! The staff are always very friendly inspite of being super busy, and it is great to converse with them. Martha served us during our latest visit and she ensured that we had an awesome evening - be it by her friendliness and patience, replenishing the supply of yummy bread after we made our way through the first loaf in record time, and, most importantly, recommending the delish cocktail Smokin' Old Fashioned. The cocktails that we had were tasty and potent. Smokin' Old Fashioned was a cocktail of Four Roses Bourbon, Carpano Antica, Peychaud's Bitters, served in a smoking glass atop a torched cedar plank, and It was fun to witness Martha mixing the cocktail at our table. The Newton was a mix of Four Roses Bourbon, fig puree, black walnut bitters in graham cracker rimmed glass. From the list of starters, we ordered the Char Boiled Oysters that we had enjoyed during our previous visit, and it was spot on. We ordered the Trio combo entrée that Martha kindly split for me and the missus, and it was good too. Overall a great dining experience comprising of hearty meal and good service at a neat place!

Found a cockroach crawling around one of our chairs!!! And the manager or lead was even worse. We came in on Easter, April 20, 2025 around 1:35PM. The server was amazing and he did a great job with amazing service, but as we were eating we saw a COCKROACH crawling on one of our chairs. I went up to the hostess to notify her that there was a cockroach and she saw it and said she would be right back. The busser came by with a linen napkin and killed it and said thank you to us then walked away. Keep in mind those are the same napkins used by customers! Then one of the managers or shift lead (unsure of who he was) came by to not apologize, but to come up with all kinds of excuses as to why they were having a “BUG PROBLEM” in their restaurant. He also said he’d make note of this situation and notify the fumigators or whatever company. Not once did he actually say sorry to us in this entire conversation. What he did say was “let me take care of it.” And so he left and we sat there confused as to what “take care of it” meant for us. The server then came by with the check. No discount or anything, just the full price. We don’t blame the server because he was probably just doing what the manager told him to do. We told him that the manager said “let me take care of it” and to ask him what that meant because it made no sense to us that we would have to pay full price for a meal we did not finish, were not going to take home, and a spoiled appetite from seeing a live cockroach roaming around us and no apology. The unapologetic manager then returned with a “discounted” check where he only took off 1 out of our 3 entrees, but left everything else on there (including appetizers and my drink). He continued to tell us that he was going to notify EcoLab to fumigate the place today and whatever other excuse, but still no “sorry.” We were completely shocked that despite EVERYTHING we were STILL being charged. Our plates were still full of food. The server then came by with to-go containers per his manager’s instructions, but we denied any containers or free dessert because nothing could have made up for this terrible experience. We paid for the bill and left our food and drinks at the table because the thought of eating that food was sickening. Again, it’s not the server’s fault as his service was great and he was very polite. But the manager and the way he handled this situation ruined it for us. If he would’ve just apologized for what happened and made some sort of effort to alleviate the terrible experience of finding a cockroach on our chair as we’re eating, then we wouldn’t be so upset and we wouldn’t be leaving a bad review. I would not come back or recommend this place due to its “bug problem,” as the manager stated when notified about the roach, and the lack of effort in trying to fix the problem or make it better. The manager kept telling us that all kinds of bugs come into the restaurant during the summer. Still no excuse for having cockroaches roaming around and how all of this was handled. Completely unsanitary, gross, and disappointing. The manager on duty especially ruined this experience for us. We left around 2:30PM immediately after paying the bill they gave us when we told them about the cockroach. Definitely won’t be back.

Fist impression was I liked the rustic design but I’ll never return here again. I tried the Tropical smoke with mezcal it was perfectly smoky with a hint of sweetness from the pineapple. I ordered a half Caesar salmon with the original person who greeted me then they swapped servers after I placed that order that’s when things started to go wrong. She brought out the Caesar without the salmon. I waited forever for the salmon then I asked for extra dressing she forgot so I sat there for about 15 minutes before reminding her again. I didn’t want to give up because the appetizer a sounded so good. I was wrong. Then I noticed a Bug in my water and she told me she’d bring a new one but left the cup in front of me. For the Flautas crab meat was overcooked not much meat and the flavor tasted off too me Grilled Artichoke the sight was already unappealing but I love artichoke so I still wanted to try it. I couldn’t even cut through the artichoke to taste it. I sent back flautas and artichokes and opted for the prawns instead. She Took my silverware with the plates without replacing it. I do believe she was Serving 5 tables alone. I ordered the Lobster topped petite filet ($27 for a limited time) she delivered it and still forgot the silverware so I Waited 10 minutes by then steak cooled off and I ended up taking silverware from another table. Lobster was overcooked and tough I ordered the Steak medium and it was cooked to temperature but lacking flavor The Cheesy potatoes reminded me of elementary school lunch, too peppery, and didn’t taste fresh Asparagus was fine but would be better if served with lemon for a little flavor Finally the Bacon wrapped prawns came out I wish they would’ve pulled or cut off the tails as I felt turned off to eat the portion of the bacon where the shrimp tail touched. Some of the bacon wasn’t as crispy as I personally like it. It was still soft and white. The sauce was interesting and I liked it. It was like teriyaki meets bbq. She forgot the water until after the prawns came out after I had eaten my main course Didn’t ask if I wanted dessert or anything else just brought the check and stated this is for whenever you’re ready if you want to add anything else let me know which to me signaled that the staff was ready for me to leave and off putting. AS much as I wanted to try the crème brûlée and sundae that I had seen I didn’t want to spend another dime. I waited about 20 minutes for my card to be picked up and ran. Manager finally came in to help and ran my card and removed plates.

Always a Good Experience !! This is one of my Go-To restaurants when I'm the Ranco Cucamonga/Ontario area. Since my first visit in 2017, I always eat here at least once when I'm in the area or going to the Mall. This visit occurred in October 2018 when I was in the area for business. This evening I decided to try something new, I asked my server what they recommended and I ordered the Local Strawberry Salad and the SNAPPER VERACRUZ & SHRIMP. My salad was very good and had many layers of flavour. The candied walnut was a nice touch. The salad was fresh and not too overdressed with the dressing. My main course was absolutely out of this world. The fish was cooked perfectly and had nice flakiness to it. The Shrimp was also fresh and flavourful. This is a great dish and I would have it again. Market Broiler is a busy place but since I went alone I had no issues getting a table. There was a good pause between courses which gave me time to enjoy the main course and the wine I was drinking. The Market Broiler is always consistent, the food is great and they always have good beer on tap and great wine to pair with your food.

We took my mom here for her birthday. We didn't make reservations so it took about an hour to get seated for a party of 13 which was understandable. The service was not great it took over an hour from the time we sat down to the time we got our food. I ordered the swordfish with fries and got rice instead of fries. I let one of the two servers know and she said sorry keep the rice and I'll bring you the fries but they never showed up. When I told the other server not to bother bringing them cause I was done with my meal she said she could pack them to go 😐 If I had wanted take out I would have gotten take out. My brother was drinking water and asked for more but that never showed up either. My dad had king crab legs and said he didn't like them. They brought the bills out but when they picked them up they only picked up half of the group so we had to wait for the other half to pay. After we all left we where texting within the hour how we were still hungry 😒 For about $30 a plate and to still be hungry to me it's not worth it.
