I never write reviews (as you can see) but i felt like this one was necessary. My husband and i took our daughter to get some ice cream last friday night, it was around 8-8:30pm, upon arrival we noticed the line was pretty long almost by the door and it seemed like there was also online order customers waiting for their orders by the coolers/register. We quickly noticed they were extremely understaffed and the staff that was there was extremely overwhelmed (understandable, ANYONE would be overwhelmed in a situation like that), there was a young man and an older lady (who i believe is the manager). As we are standing and waiting in line, i do notice the lady is being very dismissive and rushing towards the customers. After waiting for a few mins, it's finally our turn and my husband tells me to order first. As i am telling the lady my order she is also scooping up mint flavored ice cream which i thought and assumed it was for an order before mine since i hadn't finished ordering and it was so busy (this was my mistake and i owned up to it). Once the lady steps aside to start the order my husband and i quickly realized the mint ice cream she was scooping up was for MY order, we look back at the menu and realized what i had ordered came WITH mint ice cream. I rush over to let her know that i misread the menu and if i could please change out the ice cream. The lady rudely replies with "You ordered XY&Z and it comes with mint ice cream, it says it right there on the menu! did you not read it? i already started mixing the ice cream you can not change it!" i replied to her and ONCE AGAIN told her that i did in fact misread the menu and it was my fault but if i could please change out the ice cream flavor. I looked down at the ice cream in front of her and the toppings were still on the top of the ice cream and not mixed in. She dismissed me and my request very rudely and told me "no you can not do that" and continued to finish an ice cream i did not want and she was aware that i did not want. While she is finishing the ice cream she turns over to the young man and LOUDLY starts to complain to him about the situation and says "does it not say it on the menu? it says it right there!" (after i told her 2x it was MY fault and not hers that i read it wrong). She comes to take my husband's order and hands me the ice cream cup, i take it but do not plan on paying for something i repeatedly told her i did not want. She takes my husband's order and can barely understand/hear his order because she keeps talking over him trying to explain everything that comes in the ice cream order he ordered. Now we are at check out and she is ringing up our ice creams, i let her know not to charge us for the mint ice cream because we do not want it and we will not be taking it with us. She once again told me "No" and that "i MADE her make the ice cream and i can not do that." At this point i am beyond annoyed because i attempted twice to correct my mistake and get it redone but i kept getting Nos and you can't do that for an answer. I snapped back at her and replied with "I understand that BUT i came up to you and asked you TWICE if i could change the ice cream because i did not know it came with mint ice cream, we don't want the ice cream and we are NOT paying for it." She sighs with attitude and removes it off the tab and charged us only for my husband's. She then threw the ice cream in what i'm guessing was the trash I have worked food industry and i have worked as a server for two years because I understand first hand what being overwhelmed from being busy and short staffed along with how mean custmers can be i ALWAYS try to be nice, understanding and apologetic towards anyone serving me but this lady right here had me beyond baffled when she told me "no" when i am paying for it. Read moreSo I gotta say I know. I should have known coming here. Maybe I could have played things different, but I didn't. I went here. Craving some ice cream, craving cookie dough ice cream. I went there not Kneading dessert. I tried the blueberry cobbler because they add free samples. It was delicious. I got sucked into buying a bigger size. Because I can mix two scoops in the Love it size. I tried to get that special cookie dough one I want to pay and it was $10 which is insane. Then I noticed that the cone costs $2 unreal. But I realize there's nothing I can do. And I did not want to be a Wiener. So I took my first bite and the first thing I could taste. What's peanut butter? I don't hate peanut butter, but I really don't like it. As a dessert. I was very disappointed and I was like this is peanut butter and the man or the young dude that I ordered it from clearly made a mistake and he's like I thought you said this and I said no. I wanted the cookie dough. Whatever I felt bad because his manager was right there. And his manager said we can add cookie dough. And even though I just wanted 2 return it and get a refund one I didn't want to waste the food 2 I just felt bad for this dude because it was a mistake but it wasn't what I ordered at all. Period so then he added cookie dough, but after I walked out, it just was overwhelming peanut butter. I just spent $11 on something that was horrible for me. Something that I didn't mean something that was overpriced and something that I didn't even enjoy. Overall, I have to say that I'm happy because I will never come back to coldstone creamery ever again. It is not worth it. The lowest priced size is $7. That is absolutely insanity. And if I didn't walk 15 minutes, I probably would have walked out 100% my fault. I won't ever go back here again. These prices are absolutely insane. And the product is not that great, especially when you don't get the product that you want. But ultimately, that man's mistake led to me living a life without outrageously priced ice cream. Read moreI went in there tonight and first there were only two people working. I'm sure on a Monday their not too busy but tonight it was very busy, line to the door. I wait 15 minutes almost till it's my turn I explained to the young lady That I will be getting 3 ice cream love it's the 1st one was mine and I asked her to put white chocolate chips in it I explained it to her twice I made sure she heard me and that I wanted white chocolate chips, she makes ice cream I ask her if she put the chips in and she said no she forgot. She asked can she just put them on top and I said no I rather have them mixed in she said if I mix it in your ice cream is going to melt, I said then I want a new one and she looks at me and says so you want me to make you another one's and I said yes. She throws the one she made on the counter and proceeded to make me a new one, with an attitude. When she's ready to start my new one she just looks at me so I explained to her which one is the next one , she did for the last one. I get it it's busy but it's not my fault that she messed up my 1st order then gave me attitude the entire time she was taking care of me. After she rung me up gave me my change she walked away from me didn't give me the receipt she left it in the machine I had to ask the young gentleman that was also helping her if that was my receipt and if I can just take it because she just walked away from me. I don't know where her name was but she was blonde and had a tattoo on her neck which personally that's very unprofessional but I get it's an ice cream parlor. That still doesn't justify her attitude that she gave me for her mess up. They're building a Jeremiah's right there on golden rod down the street from cold stone I hope that this young lady's attitude doesn't push your customers to start going there...
