I didn't like the food at this place and it doesn't compare to other Lebanese restaurants I went in Orlando and in Lebanon itself when I visited the country a year ago. I wanted to see the food and also the place, and I decided to buy the most expensive food, Mixed Kabob. I arrived in this place and it was completely empty and I didn't like all that food exposed and that Kebab meat that looked like it had been roasted hours ago, but because It was so dry and dark, it looked like the meat had been roasted the day before. A man was slicing that dried meat and putting it on the hot plate along with the chicken just to heat it up, but all the meat was dry, tasteless and hard. The rice and salad did not taste fresh. I saw another guy heating the rice in the microwave and putting together my order. It was tragic to see that. I requested babaganoush, but they gave me hummus. The only thing that was ok in the order was the pita bread. I was extremely disappointed with this place. I threw practically all the food in the trash for fear of getting sick because of the taste. There is a difference between food having no flavor and being fresh and having no flavor and not being fresh. The most expensive food I paid from this place with taxes, was $36, IT HAS NO TASTE AND ISN'T FRESH AT ALL! I won't be returning to this place again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I'm sorry for the comment. Ah, I strongly suggest to the guy who put together my order to take off his gloves before receiving money from orders, or change gloves, or find another specific person to receive money from others. Handling food and money at the same time is...

So I glance at the map and try to find something to eat for dinner and its all a bunch of soulless chains and you start to relegate yourself to the possibility that you might eat that soulless grub. Then I find a middle eastern spot, and its close, and its a done deal. Habibi was an easy 4 star dinner. For $11.99 I got 4 or 5 balls of falafel (I dont remember), along with your choice of 3 sides. I did baba ghnoush, yellow rice and 'Lebanese salad'. The salad was a bit wonky, about 20 very roughly cut chunks of cucumber, unpeeled and a scant couple pieces of tomato. The baba ghnoush was good, not terribly pureed (that is a plus). The rice was really excellent, perfect texture and very flavorful. I very well may eat this again tomorrow night before I go home. Glad to know another spot in O-town, in a little corner I am unfamilliar...
Read moreCame with my boyfriend. I ordered a mix shawarma plater with Arabic salad, rice and hummus. My boyfriend got mixed kabob plater with salad, rice and French fries. Each plater came with a pita. We also got one soda and the total came out to $40. This place is over priced in my opinion but then again it's Orlando in a touristy area. Anyways back to the food. The sides were all great but my beef was burnt. Like to the point i could not eat some pieces. I guess when the meat is on the rotator the edges tend to over cook since they were pretty slow when we went. My boyfriend loved his plate. So in summary i don't think it's a bad restaurant at all, i just suggest you pay attention to the edges of the meat in the gyro rotator. Worth the price? If this restaurant was any where else no, but since it's in the tourist area and a real meal verses fast food yes. Would i come back? Yes but i would order the kabobs since they are freshly cooked...
