I visited the Fat Tuesday’s at the City Walk just after 8pm on 7/29/22. I ordered my drink and went to pay as normal. When I pulled out my credit card it slipped from my hand and fell perfectly between the cracks. I didn’t panic, I just chalked it up as a loss and locked it on my phone. Before I could say anything the two young ladies working noticed my mishap. I told them no big deal, I locked it and can get a another card. This did not sit well with them and no sooner went to walk off when I noticed one of the ladies on the phone walking towards me. She motioned to me and asked me where it fell. I showed her and she said we can get the card for you, there is a gravel substrate beneath the deck. The deck boards were securely fastened by screws which meant some labor would be involved in removing them. I told her not to worry and that I can get another card. She wouldn’t have it and assured me it was no big deal. The next thing I noticed was the head of maintenance walking towards me. He reassured me, told me to go have dinner and when I was done the card would be there for me. Around 10pm I walked back over and sure enough my card was waiting for me. To say this meant a lot is an understatement. This is called above and beyond customer service. Those two ladies and maintenance supervisor should teach a master class in customer service. I have been in the hospitality industry for more than twenty years and never I have I witnessed such genuine concern and respect for a customer. In the culmination of week in Florida doing various activities this was the highlight of my trip. They could have easily blown me off and told me it was gone. I would have readily accepted that because it was my fault and no one else’s. This was not to be due to a group of caring individuals who were determined to go above and beyond. I cannot express in words how much this meant to me. As a person who works in the service industry, I will share this story with my staff and challenge them to treat customers as I was treated. Patience, empathy and respect is all it took change my experience. Thank you all for going above and beyond. You have gained a loyal fan of Fat Tuesday’s and...
Read moreI used to go to Fat Tuesday and recommended it often when going to city walk, well last night 11/9 at around 8:30pm on 2nd floor, we received the worst service. The minute we arrived the guy standing there on his phone ignoring us texting, finally decided to take our order and we wanted to add an extra shot, instead of clarifying he placed the order and then told us he can’t and will not make any fixes or changes because that would mean he has to call his supervisor over and he will not be doing that. So in order to be nice, we got back in line. We didn’t want any issues, we just wanted our drink? When we approached him again he once again gave us a hard time by pointing his finger and saying he is refusing service? Honestly, from the minute we got there he seemed to not like me and my partner, as we are both women. We asked for supervisor because I was so confused on why he’s making this such a big deal and giving us a hard time, we were genuinely confused. I’ve never had this issue because we aren’t the type of customers to want to cause any problems, we were having a great night. And Management? Did nothing. They truly made us feel like outcasts, I will never go back again. I never felt more...
Read moreMy first experience with Fat Tuesday was in Biloxi, MS a couple of years ago. I enjoyed it thoroughly! They provided samples so that you can make an informed decision on what you like to purchase. This one did not. I don't know if it was because of covid or not, but I was a little disappointed. Not only that, but the only way to get to the site is by parking at Universal parking and walking through Orlando Citywalk. The Citywalk seemed great, but I was not prepared to go through parking in the Universal garage, then walking to the Citywalk entry, going through a temperature check, then going through security JUST to get to this store. Once we finally got into the Citywalk, it was still a good 10 minute walk to the site. They had set up a couple of small tables about 3 ft. from the counter and had 2 (cashiers?) taking orders from the small tables (which had debit card machines on them so you could contactless pay). We asked about a couple of the flavors and the cashier was not very insightful. My fiance got a drink which I sipped to taste before ordering my own drink. The cashier did not explain that there were different cup options or sizes and was very mechanical in his manner. It was quite...
