Very unfortunate that my first time trying this place was absolutely terrible. Worst part was the bar tender's attitude, not sure their name but had short hair wearing a flannel and hat. She seemed kind at first, I got kratom tea and was not expecting it to be 21 dollars for a large drink but its okay I understand, its downtown Orlando, but that wasn't the problem. When I came back for my second drink she had a totally different attitude. Literally watched her turn from happy and smiling, laughing with her coworker Alyssa (I assume is Alyssa based on one of these reviews they have a photo of one of the bartenders idk though) and switch to being annoyed that I was asking her for something (trying to order another drink and pay another 21 dollars...) I am trying to think what could have been the issue, the only thing I can think of is the screen was visible to her when I pressed no tip ??? Which I sort of understand but sorry you aren't entitled to a tip.
Lastly, not only are the drinks the most expensive I have ever seen, but they are mid at best. I regularly go to Legacy Kava and I would recommend going to Legacy Kava if you want to go to a kava bar. Or in Gainesville I like to go to Kava Gator is a really nice place and both of these places sell their drinks at HALF the price of this establishment. Literally the only thing good about this place was the atmosphere, as it is clear they put a lot of money into this place... however, still not worth 21 dollars for a drink. Mind you, I bought 2 large kratom teas, so I really tried to like this...
Read moreI could say that I've never felt this relaxed at a bar/cafe before due to the effects of Kava on my nervous system, but that would not be entirely accurate. I would have felt quite relaxed here without having tried any Kava before due its ambiance and people -- both patrons and bartenders (Kaiden and Bianca are genuinely nice and caring people, you can just tell by chatting with them), everyone seems to take part in the "Kava culture": relaxed, open-minded, community-oriented. It was my first time at this place and trying Kava. Kaiden offered me a complimentary "shell" for my first visit, which I of course accepted. I describe it as a mouth-numbing, stronger version of natural Kombucha. It made me feel very relaxed and a bit lethargic, but all in a good way. Kaiden explained to me that the most common effect of Kava is relaxation but that people react differently to it. Kaiden is very knowledgeable and took his time to explain everything on the menu to me and answer all my questions. He also said that they host some cool events and advertise them on their Instagram account. This hour spent at Kava Culture Kava Bar was so positive and memorable that I now recommend this place to everyone who'd like to sip on an exquisite drink (they also have other drinks like Elixir and Kratom), chill, work, study, meet new people, paint (they host Sip&Paint on Monday evenings), or entertain (Open Mic Sundays) themselves. Not to mention the gorgeous decor and cool lightning. I...
