Definitely not authentic Mexican food. Being Mexican myself, I sometimes like to compare and find places that have flavors as close to home as possible. I gave this place a bit of a high hope as it looks pretty authentic from the outside and in. But when I saw the menu I questioned it a bit. Nonetheless I decided to go ahead and give it a try. I totally understand that in downtown prices are a bit higher than in other areas, but this is ridiculous! It's almost $5 for one beef tongue taco! They add all these crazy ingredients like tomatoes, sour cream and shredded cheese on what are supposed to be "authentic tacos" (only onions, cilantro & lime is supposed to be on there). Also, the tortillas were not even heated. It's like they took the tortilla out the package, slapped the meat and a load of condiments on, and called it a day. I also ordered tamales, which were served cold. The tamales did taste good so kudos to that. All in all, it wasn't a terrible experience but I guess I had gotten my hopes to high after reading all the other good reviews. I don't think i'll be coming back. Just not...
Read moreMy children and I just left from this place. We went in there cause I wanted them to try some horchata. As I was telling one of the cashiers what type of drink I wanted to purchase, a worker was engaging with my son cause they both had their skateboards. As I was paying for my drink, I asked the cashier if I can get two water cups for water for my kids please. I handed the cups to my kids and they proceeded to go to the fountain to get water. Out of no where a different coworker, the one with the red hat and mullet hairstyle, yelled at them and said ONLY WATER. I looked at him and said they are aware of what they are going to get. He proceeded to stare them down till we talked to out the door. That guy was disgusting. He did not care.. he racially profiled my children.. my son even said he did not understand why there are people out here in these work places. I told my kids I apologize that guy was rude and approached them as if they were going to steal something to drink. I will not be returning...
Read moreThe best part about Jury Duty is Tacos El Rancho is walking distance, just across the street, with an in-house made tortilla that makes a most delicious tacos. I had cilantro, tomatoes, and lettuce on my chicken Tacos that are so tasty, I text my sister that I would have to slap her, if she were here. They even make their own salsa-Yummy. I also tried the Flan-Yum; Tres Leches- Yummy; and washed it all down with a refreshingly delicious beverage to rival a red wine, if I drunk, called Jamaica, a hibiscus drink that is also made in-house, and is oh sooo scrum-deli-iciously yummy! I ordered to go, tasted, and ended up staying and eating and drinking, and ordering more items to taste- all yummy. I will be returning to enjoy more of this mouthwatering menu, and the Mom and Pop feel of this family run restaurant. I highly recommend, when you make your family trip to this land of Disney, that you take the Public Transportation to enjoy this delicious...
