Let me start this review with the fact that my partner and I have not even moved into our apartment yet at MAA Robinson and our experience has been beyond amazing! We toured the property with Marielys this week, on Tuesday, and she was wonderful. She showed us around the beautiful and very updated property, and was extremely informative about the property's amenities, floor plans, and the leasing process. My partner and I have a unique leasing situation, which then included us working directly with Drew the Assistant Property Manager. As someone who has previously worked in the apartment housing/student housing/leasing operations world (and we all know how much of a headache it can be sometimes), I have never experienced such an easy, seamless, and well organized leasing process from such a strong group of young professionals! Given our unique leasing process, Drew was extremely responsive and informative. Drew responded to emails in less than 1-2 hours time and assisted us through the process from start to finish. No joke, from looking at the property on a Tuesday we were fully approved and everything was good to go for our future apartment on Thursday the same week! My partner and I are extremely excited to move into this beautiful property in Downtown Orlando in about a month. If you are searching for apartments in the Downtown Orlando area do NOT skip MAA Robinson! You cannot beat the rates with how beautiful the property is and where it is located, and there is seriously no better leasing team to work with. Drew and Marielys I applaud you in your amazing professionalism and thank you so very much for providing us with such an easy and non-stressful leasing process. We can't...
Read moreFirst of all, before I rail into MAA, Drew and the pool are the only positive thing about this community. Although you’d think for the price, they would’ve heated the pool 🙄 I had lived there a year and moved in before it got grossly overcrowded. When I first moved in, they never warned about construction and I lived with LOUD construction that would shake my walls daily for SIX MONTHS. And Jennifer’s (horrible woman) only remedy was to offer me a way to move out with no fees, because finding a new apartment is so affordable. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear any kind of conversation, music, you name it. And don’t even think about getting in an argument. Being right on Orange seems great, unless the walls are so thin that it sounds like you live on the street. The apartments themselves look great but everything falls apart. The drawers come apart if you pull too hard, there’s no way to open the windows so the humidity causes mold within the apartment, the list goes on. The amenities aren’t working half of the time, and don’t expect 24 hour concierge. Definitely don’t lose your fob. Oh and did I mention they towed one of my cars that I pay for out of the garage because of a flat tire?! Save your time and money. There are WAY better places in downtown ran by WAY nicer humans. Jennifer alone is enough to make any Karen-loathing person stay away. Now that I’ve moved out, they hit me with a $2900 move out bill for damages. Like I said, everything in the apartment breaks, the walls scuff, so it’s hard to avoid damage especially moving in and out. It’s really all smoke...
Read moreStarted off pretty well but it our time at Maa unfortunately deteriorated as time went on.
Pros: -Views of DT from 10th floor east side balcony (orange ave) -location if you like going out to DT bars, Lake Eola, or the stadiums -Nice, modern units & floor plans on the 10th and 11th floors -The majority of the maintenance folks (especially Ruben and Efrain) are excellent. -overall the staff/leasing team is helpful/attentive and isn’t the problem (unlike other apartment buildings in the area).
Cons: -location: Being in downtown also means a lot of noise and foot traffic from young and unruly people as well as a large amount of homeless people all around the area. -Residents/neighbors: unfortunately loud neighbors, parties, etc seem to be occurring more and more as time goes on. Residents and/or their guests also choose not to take care of their own building.. (trash found everywhere, pool is a mess at times, bbq grill gets destroyed, cars tailgating in garage all the time, someone ran into the garage door) -Build quality: prepare to hear everything from voices to dogs barking and pray your neighbors are courteous and respectful (ours were not) as the walls are paper thin and the floors and ceilings are as well. -Bike nights at Ace Cafe used to be horrendous but I guess it should get better now that they closed.
Overall: If you work from home (as we do) or are just wanting a nice quiet sanctuary while at home… This may not be the place for you. I think stricter rules/requirements will have to be made in order to avoid this place becoming the...
