I was excited to visit this cafe having traveled the coffee belt of the world and excited to explore a new cafe in Orlando that isn’t a Foxtail. When I first walked up to the counter, the woman who was taking orders seemed less than enthusiastic. I began looking at the menu contemplating what I was going to order and she asked me if it was my first time. I assume with a recent opening, it’s many persons first time. She didn’t proceed to make any suggestions. I ordered the croissant sandwich and a macadamia nut milk latte. I never order iced lattes so I know that I definitely didn’t say iced so when an iced latte was called for me, of course it had to be remade. I also ordered the croissant sandwich, too. After standing there for a long while with what appeared to be the baristas wondering why I was still standing there, the woman who took my order ran to the kitchen. She quickly grabbed a box which was my sandwich. It seemed like it finally dawned on her that I had a to-go sandwich ready. I wanted to enjoy it sitting down inside but all the tables were full except one that seated two that had two dirty glasses and a napkin sitting on them (the table closest to the cashier’s line of sight). Despite a curly-haired employee (he had a Stemma shirt on) walking by the table three times, he did not clear it. I’m a firm believer that no matter what role you are in a company, we all have the same jobs and we are in it together. As I was leaving one of the outside tables opened up so I was able to sit to enjoy my coffee and sandwich.
I will say that the sandwich was delectable. It was both savory and spicy. It was only my second time having a macadamia nut milk latte and this one was better and less sweet. It’s unfortunate when the service or lack there of overshadows the cuisine. But it’s in a great location and will excel even without great service. Hopefully with time, that...
Read moreI love this place - El Güerito is the best coffee I’ve ever had… it should win all the awards. I don’t live particularly close but I’ve been three times in the past month. My first visit, I got the Dirty Mama, which was good, and beef empanada, which was fine. What brought me back, besides the BEAUTIFUL interior and friendly staff, is the drink my sister ordered and I tried: El Güerito, an iced coffee drink. This is the best coffee I’ve had in my life. I came back a second and a third time for this drink. It may sound odd to some to do a pineapple foam on top and maybe it’s nostalgic for me because one of my favorite deserts is pineapple pie but this WORKS. It’s amazing. My second and third visits I also got the brisket sandwich, which is overall, I think an excellent sandwich. The meat was slightly dry but the overall sandwich was not. The combination of flavors and textures on this sandwich.. probably one of the best I’ve had as well. I just kept marveling at it. My third visit the food service was pretty slow, but the staff was apologetic. Overall, it’s a lovely experience there. Gorgeous murals. Even the bathrooms are beautiful. Wifi and sufficient electrical outlets. Lots of natural light. Good interior temperature. Parking isn’t horrible but a bit annoying at times - it’s downtown. There is street (parallel) parking in front of it, but if you turn right down the street just past it, then right again, there’s more street parking there, and also a garage. I never had an issue finding street parking, only ever took me a minute or two to walk...
Read moreWe tried Stemma Craft Coffee for the first time today and this place is INCREDIBLE!!! This place has some of the best coffee I have EVER had anywhere in the world, and they have some of the best food I’ve tried anywhere in Orlando!!! It’s not very common to find exceptional coffee and food at the same place - usually it’s one or the other. Stemma Craft Coffee excels in making unique, creative coffee drinks (and teas and non-caffeinated drinks…they do it all), fresh and creative sandwiches, and more! The El Güerito iced coffee has a PINEAPPLE cold foam and it is one of the best coffee drinks I have ever tasted. You NEED to try it on your first visit. Other drinks are incredible as well! If you don’t like coffee, the Lychee Rose Tea is an excellent option, but honestly anything you choose there will be super good. My mentality is the more unique, the better!
Their food is on another level!!! If you’re wanting lunch out, COME HERE. Try the Maple BLT and the Brisket Sandwich. They are NOT your traditional sandwiches - everything tastes so fresh, seasoned perfectly, and so, so flavorful! The Maple BLT really has a maple flavor and the Brisket Sandwich is so moist and tender…so many brisket sandwiches elsewhere are dry and like roast beef. Not this one!! I just cannot stress how good this place is. I’m so happy I have finally started coming - I was immediately hooked the first time I visited. Come to Stemma if you’re craving great coffee, or...
