A Culinary Gem in Orlando – A Must-Visit! I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Leiah restaurant by award-winning Chef Omar Torres, and it was truly a remarkable experience from start to finish. The ambiance is stunning—elegant yet welcoming, with a modern charm that immediately sets the tone for a special evening. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted by Janira, whose service was nothing short of impeccable. Her knowledge of both the food and the wine list added so much to the experience—she guided me through the evening with grace and enthusiasm. I tried their tasting menu, which is being offered at an incredible value right now. As someone familiar with fine dining, I was honestly stunned by the quality and number of courses for the price—it’s a steal. The wine list is exceptional—beautifully curated to complement the menu with precision. The selections are thoughtful, featuring many unique and hard-to-find wines at reasonable prices. As a wine lover, I truly appreciated the attention to detail in every pairing and the quality of the offerings. The meal began with the best corn chowder I’ve ever had—creamy, yet light, bursting with flavor without feeling overly rich. Next came a dish of King Crab with yuca and a mustard-verjus vinaigrette—fresh, balanced, and beautifully plated. Then came my personal favorite: handmade tortellini filled with brie, fontina, and a 36-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano sauce. It was rich, comforting, and absolutely divine. The seared sea bass that followed was cooked to perfection and served over a hearty “Farroto” with zucchini, kale, and sweet potato, finished with salmon roe—a gorgeous mix of textures and flavors. The prime tenderloin was another standout, served with parsnip purée, heirloom carrots, and a culantro chimichurri that stole the show. The depth of flavor in that chimichurri was unforgettable. To finish, dessert was a stunner—Melón de Oro—featuring mascarpone, papaya, dragon fruit, and a delicate sugar tuile shaped like a butterfly. It was as beautiful as it was delicious. I was blown away by the thoughtfulness behind each dish—the balance, the quality of ingredients, the perfectly paired wines, and the global inspiration woven through the menu. Dining here felt like taking my taste buds on an international journey This restaurant is a true gem in Orlando. I highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates fine dining, great service, and culinary creativity.

Sept 25th 2025 (next day): Came back again! That wagyu burger has me salivating. It never disappoints. Again, the chefs, the host (Francisco), are just so pleasant to be around. They make you feel so welcomed. That, paired with their tasty food, makes a perfect combination for me to keep coming back when Im in town. I haven’t been for dinner yet, but they shared their menu with me…. One during Orlando’s Magic week, which ends Sept 30th, and then they also shared their regular dinner menu which is 6 courses. The chef is coming out with a 5 course menu starting in October. Something to try next time I’m here. —————————— Sept 24th 2025: I came back :) This place is consistent with the food. It still tasted the same, and I love the way it tastes, so I’m happy to see it’s consistent. I just loooove that Wagyu burger! The chefs and waiter were just so pleasant. There’s no doubt I’ll be back, every time I’m visiting Orlando for work. ————————————————————————- Sept 9th 2025: I popped in for a late lunch on a Tuesday. There appeared to be a group of 4 people there just getting up to leave as I entered. Another solo diner came in after me. Otherwise the place was empty, making it nice and quiet. The set up is elegant. You have an open view of the kitchen. There were two chef’s back there. I ordered the Wagyu burger and upgraded from fries to the “bees & beets” salad. They serve a smaller portion of the salad when it’s a side item. I wasn’t aware that it would be larger if I hadn’t made it as a side to my burger, but I would order the full size in the future. Plus they don’t put the honey-flavored butterfly shaped “cookie” on top of the smaller version of the salad. I mentioned that to the waitress and she ended up bringing me the butterfly to try. It was tasty and so was the salad, hence why I’d order the full size salad in the future. I ordered my burger medium-well and it came out just as I ordered. I’m favoriting this place on my Google maps. I’ll be coming back for sure! ———-

We visited as a party of 13 for a birthday celebration. While my steak was delicious, the entrées took about 45 -55 minutes to arrive, (all coming out at different times ) and one friend’s steak came out rare instead of medium well. The server said it would take 20 minutes to fix, which wasn’t realistic after such a long wait, so he was stuck with a meal he couldn’t enjoy. The server initially said, “I’ll take care of you,” but nothing was offered — not even an apology or a comped drink (which is all we really expected). When my friend brought it up, she became defensive and dismissive (rolled her eyes, crossed her arms). We then spoke with the manager, who was even more unprofessional, offering no resolution beyond a curt “ok.” His demeanor came across as “please shut up and keep it moving.” For a restaurant of this caliber, the food should be consistent and the service respectful. Mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability, professionalism, and basic courtesy from both the server and manager was extremely disappointing. Watching them disrespect my friend instead of an apology was truly shocking to see ! To make matters worse, several people in our group who ordered the lobster crema (myself included) have since experienced food-related illness (vomiting and diarrhea). This is incredibly concerning and raises questions about food handling and safety in the kitchen. While the food flavors were excellent , the combination of long wait times, unprofessional /disrespectful service, and potential food safety issues makes it impossible for me to recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately, good food loses its value when the service fails this badly.

Exquisite Dining at Leigh in Orlando

Ambience & Design

Nestled in the heart of downtown Orlando, Leigh exudes sophistication without pretension. Outfitted with butterflies everywhere you look, Leigh, named after Chef Torres’ daughter has the interior feel of intentional and elevated—warm, moody lighting and finely spaced tables. It’s the kind of space where every corner invites meaningful conversation and every detail seems tailored to memory-making.

Concept & Philosophy

Helmed by the visionary Chef Omar Torres, Leigh curates a masterful tasting menu that weaves together influences from contemporary American, Latin, and European cuisine. There’s a strong focus on ethical sourcing and sustainability—clean oceans, responsible fisheries, and produce with a conscience. It’s food you can feel good about on every level: palate, planet, and principle.

Culinary Highlights • Tasting Experience: The chef’s tasting menu, priced at around $95, is a multi-course journey through bold, unexpected flavor pairings. It’s a beautifully choreographed culinary performance. • Presentation: Every dish arrives as a visual masterpiece—plated with the kind of precision that signals you’re somewhere special. • Flavor: The balance of textures and profiles—crispy against tender, sweet laced with umami—creates a rhythm to the meal that’s both playful and deeply satisfying.

Service & Experience

Service at Leigh is attentive, intuitive, and quietly exceptional. The staff operates like a well-conducted orchestra—present when needed, invisible when not. Whether it’s your first time or your fifth, you’re treated like a regular whose return was anticipated.

Value & Overall Impression

While the price point places Leigh in the fine dining category, the experience delivers far beyond just the food. From the ambiance to the ethics, to the execution of each dish, every detail adds up to something unforgettable. It’s an investment in presence, flavor, and experience—and it’s worth every dollar.

Final Verdict

Leigh isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a curated escape. For anyone seeking a dining experience that fuses elegance with intention, and flavor with feeling, Leigh stands among the finest in Orlando. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t just feed you—it...
