All American Diner — Restaurant in Panama City Beach

2024 review - The location of this All American Dinner is across the road from Long Beach Resort on Front Beach Road in Panama City Beach Florida. Their food is some of the BEST you could hope to eat in the entire city! We went here every morning during our 7 day vacation. We always left satisfied and happy!! Their biscuits are tender, their bacon is cooked to perfection, their eggs are soft and fluffy, their gravy has a silky perfection you won't get anywhere else, their fruit is fresh and perfectly ripe, their hash browns are crisp on the outside and tender inside, their oatmeal is warm and has a hint of cinnamon and they even have sugar free syrup for their perfectly cooked pancakes (of course I could only have one because of being diabetic...worth the spike in blood sugar...lol). They are constantly refreshing the breakfast bar. The waitresses were friendly and attentive to our every need! I truly enjoyed eating at this restaurant more than any of the other restaurants we ate at while on vacation! When we return next year for vacation, we already have plans to eat all our breakfast at this location of the All American Dinner! I CAN'T wait! 2025 rewiew- We returned to find not only the best breakfast buffet still has fantastic food but to also make a new friend out of our waitress Denise! What a joy to feel like you are going to a friend's house (with a whole lot of people) to eat a wonderful meal to start your day! Denise made us feel like long lost friends. We looked forward to seeing her every morning, even more than eating the delicious breakfast at this location of All American Dinner! We can't wait to return next year to see Denise and eat more delicious food! What a gem of an experience! You absolutely can not go wrong choosing to dine at this restaurant! I just wish they were...

Well, I read the mixed reviews and wasn't sure what to think about this place... but since we were close by, we decided to give it a try.

Coming up to the door, we saw the skulls on the sign and wondered if it was a warning about going in, or perhaps early Halloween decorations... When we saw the life-sized Elvis and Marilyn Monroe decorated in costume, we knew the place was cool :)

The Breakfast Buffet was $8.59 and hot food was still coming out, but we decided to get combo plates made to order. My combo had 2-eggs/over medium, hash browns w/onions, sausage patties and rye toast... I had my choice of meat, added the onions and was happy to see that rye toast was an option. I am a big eater, but had trouble finishing as much food as they brought. Sausage was flavorful, hash browns overflowed the plate and were tasty and the eggs could not have been cooked more perfectly! My mistake was ordering a slice of French Toast for dessert, which was delicious, but made me feel bad for not eating all of my rye toast.

Service was exceptional and food was hot and fast... I agree with some that commented it wasn't new and pristine like a chain restaurant would be and maybe it's a little greasy, but I didn't see much of that... Perhaps those who felt that way, don't like going camping/outdoor cooking or eating at older establishments that have old fixtures? I do know that the bathrooms were clean and the paper towel dispenser was full... If that sort of care and maintenance was also taken in the kitchen, I'm sure that it was fine greasy or not.

Will surely recommend to others and revisit this...

This place was absolutely delicious. We were seated at a table working 10 seconds of walking in. We were eating from the buffet within a minute of walking into the restaurant. This place knows how to run things. The food was really good as well. We did the buffet and for $9 it was worth every penny. We tried a good majority of everything there and nothing disappointed. Their pancakes were especially good. Also do not skimp on the cheesy potatoes. Holy cow those were literally the best breakfast potato’s I’ve ever had bar none. It’s a diner so it has that cool old school 1950s vibe going on. Shiny and retro. The waitress we had was super good too. Checking on us enough to make sure we had what we needed but not so much where it’s annoying and gets in the way of having a nice time and relaxing. She seems like she’s been doing it for awhile. As do all the wait staff there. They all seem to know how things go around there. Management must treat them well for them to stick around for so long. So that’s another good thing that they got going for them. Definitely give this place a visit...
