After a 2.5 day road trip, we were craving some real food before we hopped on a plane to head back home. We chose Lawry's and booked our 8:30 PM reservation. The atmosphere was great, the hostess friendly. They showed us to our seat, and we met our waiter a few minutes later. We were served some awesome sourdough bread, which we demolished in record time. We ordered an appetizer, calamari, which was decent but not 5 star by any means. We were there for Prime Rib, although my expectations were somewhat tempered based on the time of day. They started us with some sort of "centrifuge" salad, that they spin up at the table. Not sure what the fuss is, as it was just salad, but the effort (show?) was appreciated. Then a "Master Carver" shows up with a rolling serving cart, and he saws off a slab of meat based on our preference (med rare of course). Mashed potatoes and gravy were added to the plate and they also brought a side of Yorkshire Pudding, which neither of us have had before. The waiter explained what it was and how to eat it. It was ok, but nothing I would jump for joy over. The waiter mentioned that this is 27 day aged prime rib and tender enough to cut with the butter knife we were given for the bread. He said if we need a better knife, to let him know. 10 second in, and we both knew we would be needing those knives. In fact, I would have asked for a chain saw if I thought they would bring one. This prime rib was perfectly cooked, but it was so tough in places that even the real knife wouldn't touch it without elbows spread wide and aggressive sawing. We both did our best but finally gave up on the toughest portions and called it good. The potatoes and gravy were excellent. We asked for the dessert menu, which our waiter had committed to memory. Key Lime pie for me, and sorbet for my friend. I love KLP, having spent a bit of time in the Florida Keys. I order it anytime I can, and unless I'm in Florida, I am usually disappointed. This time was no different. I don't know why I fall for it every time. We also ordered decaf coffee, and the waiter mentioned it would be a little longer since they would prepare a fresh pot for us. A while later, they arrived with the coffee, and it was lukewarm, a final blow to what we hoped would be a 5 star experience in a well-known restaurant. We left disappointed, but full of real food instead of another round of interstate burgers. The people were friendly, the atmosphere was excellent, it was super clean, it's just the quality of the food that was not up to 5 star par. Again, not sure if the time of day contributed to this overall rating. We will try the place again, perhaps a little earlier in the day and...

RESTAURANT
The decor offers a classy traditional look. It feels very old school Vegas, like a boutique hotel. The room is big, the ceilings are high, and the tables are well spaced. The lighting was perfect: we could see well, but it was not overly bright. If it were a little darker, you might feel like you were in a setting for a mafia movie.
SERVICE:
Although all the major hotels have valet service, there are only a handful of restaurants that offer their own valet service in Las Vegas. I like to park my own car, but it definitely adds a touch of class or allure when you see valet service.
Upon entering, the hosts quickly greeted us with a smile and enthusiastic welcome. We sat in semi-circle booth. As we approached the table, the host pulled the table out into the walkway, so we could easily access the booth. After we sat, she pushed the table back in. I don't recall ever seeing that before. I thought it was unique and I liked it.
I really liked the texture of the dessert menu. It had a glossy feel, which made it durable and allowed it to feel and appear cleaner than a typical paper menu.
Our server was extremely friendly. She kept a good conversation, but also gave us our privacy to talk and enjoy our meal. She maintained the perfect balance of being present and respectful. She also did an amazing job of maintaining her energy and positivity. She definitely enhanced the experience.
The runner was extremely attentive. As soon as I drank water, he would refill it. Even when he was across the room, I could see him mindfully scanning his tables.
My only critique on the service was I thought there was a little too much time between our main course and the dessert service.
FOOD:
My wife is a fan of the spinning salad. I think the table side presentation is pretty rare and provides a nice touch. The fork they give you is chilled. You immediately notice the temperature of the fork in your hand, which then makes you appreciate it, when you use it.
The shrimp on the seafood tower, were very plump. The entire serving was generous and plentiful.
The English Cut was excellent (even as leftovers the next day).
The asparagus were good size and lightly cooked, leaving them crisp, like I prefer.
The banana nut bundt cake exceeded my expectations. It had great...
Read more11/2/2024 Last time when we're in Vegas, we had dinner here and we loved it. This time going with other families, we wanted them to try this great place since we're in the Bay Area and there's only one other location is in Beverly Hills. We booked a dinner on SAT for 5 people, and we got the table with Lewis as our server. He's quite pleasant and knowledgeable about foods and wine. We got to try a very nice bottle of Camus and we loved it with our prime rib. The atmosphere here is second to none. The people here are quite attentive and fast. We ordered our favorite calamari and my family loved them, even the bread and butter LOL. The spinning salad is alway cold and fresh with perfect seasoning. Everyone had a great dinner for my sister Birthday. Nice wine, delicious food, nice restaurant, great companies and the price is right, what else can you ask for.
I and my wife got a cheap round trip tickets through Frontier Airline for the first time to Vegas after 10 years. We decided not to eat buffets too many times here and booked a reservation at this Prime Rib restaurant. My wife has never had prime rib here but Iâve had them in Beverly Hills many moons ago. The place is not too far from where we stay Caesars Palace so we walked and it was a mistake in 90F heat. Itâs in a small lot by itself. The place doesnât look much from the outside but the inside ambiance is quite pleasant and romantic. We got our table and Sally our server was quite fun and pleasant, very attentive and helpful. We ordered the 16oz Prime Rib to share because we like the thick one. The fried calamari was so crispy and plenty for both of us. They didnât have Cinzano Sweet Vermouth that I like but the brand they had was great also. We loved the spinning salad with cold forks (nice touch). The seasoning and dressing were so excellent that my wife had to complement the restaurant. The bread and butter were soft and tasty although I prefer salted butter over the unsalted one. The prime rib was actually melt in your mouth, amazing how they cooked it. The au jus was just right and flavorful. After the bread, appetizer and the salad, we could barely dent the giant piece of Tendered Prime Rib. We had a great meal for a Saturday night. We will take our kids here because they love prime rib if they ever go with us since theyâre...
