Captain D's — Restaurant in Pelham

If I could put no stars I would I would I pulled up at 9:30 on Thursday in the drive-through which the door says they're open till 10 o'clock in the drop through I pull back around to the drive-through for the 2nd time I see the door for the back it's cracked and another person pulls up behind me and I'm sitting there asking in are you all open nobody's answering me at all so I walk up to the cracked door and I say are you open or closed and she goes out and we're closed we're closed and it's 9:30 But they Didn't even have the decency to get on the headset and say I'm sorry we're shorthanded we are closing early or anything didn't say nothing but she sure was fine sitting in the background at a desk on the phoneIt has the store looking like it's still open you'll need to put cameras up on the outside of your store that way you can see your customers pulling up and then pulling off because they don't want to work. This was so unprofessional and ridiculous I don't wanna go back but then again the other workers especially a young Woman with Short Brown hair is very kindAnd there's a few more that are very kind but this lady that worked tonight awful awful just awful She is definitely wasting...

UPDATE: I echo ALL of the other negative reviews. I hate to add one, BUT.

I used to love this location when Mr. Highland was here. 10 out of 10 times, when I order now, my food comes out in kids meal portions. The door is locked most of the time. It takes so long just to make an order in drive thru and especially inside. The wait is unreal to place an order inside, with just 1 or person or no one in front of you. 😳 You never know what the hours are and when they will not be serving anymore even though the lights are on and no-one is at the front of the house or visible in the back.🤔 98% of the time my fish is not fried well and my orders have something wrong so I try to go inside. 98% of the time the lobby is closed. And the fish batter is usually under done. This has been my experience since EVERY single time for the last 2 yrs. I have given a second chance every time many times over, but WOW. Sad. I attached the picture of one of my orders. The sides are half of what they were. Again kids...

Today the employees of this Captain D's deliberately took a smoke break while there was open orders waiting. We ordered two three piece fish dinners and waited and waited finally after 35 minutes passed and no order we went to ask where our order was and the front cashier called back to the back.. We need the two three pieces... Then she said they are getting it now and then..... Another 15 minutes passed and still no food. So we demanded our money back as they were getting ready to give us our order. We were fed up. We took our money and the lady said let me get you your food anyway and I was like okay so she yelled to the back give me a bag and again we waitied 4 minutes and finally said we are leaving y'all can keep the food. We left and we may never go back ever! We are not ones to easily complain but this was one of the worst restaurant experiences that we've ever...
