UPDATE 10/2023: After many many many months of not trying this location, I decided to give it another chance. I ordered a Mexican Pizza, and the pizza shell tasted like industrial strength degreaser. I told the person at the counter and asked for some other item of similar value, like a burrito or something. Instead they re-made the same Mexican Pizza, which also tasted like degreaser. I told the manager that most likely all of the shells taste this way, and asked her to try a bite of any one of the shells in the kitchen. The most incredible thing happened: She told me that she doesn't eat the food from here. I WONDER WHY! No refund was offered. This location is literally serving customers poison. My guess is they are not properly rinsing the deep fryer after cleaning it, resulting in all the food cooked in it tasting like degreaser.
This is a review of the Pelham, AL Taco Bell located on Highway 119.
Needs corporate retraining.
Awful and rude staff. I remembered after ordering at the drive through that I needed another item and attempted to add it to my order at the window. The employee lied to my face and told me that it is not possible to modify orders at the drive through window. There was not even anyone else in line behind us. I told her that I had added/modified orders at the window in the past, and she said nothing. After paying, we checked the bag to discover that one of our items was missing entirely.
This is a consistent problem at this location. Items are frequently left out of the bag that were paid for, and often times the order is flat out made incorrectly. For example, you order no lettuce, and you get lettuce. Order chicken and you get beef. Order a side item and it is flat out missing. This location is also regularly out of certain drinks, and the drink machine is often improperly calibrated, resulting in soda-water or super syrupy drinks. Chalupa shells are frequently stale and rock hard, to the point that they are difficult to chew and may literally cut your mouth. The amount of food that you get inside your items at this location is consistently less than the Hoover or Alabaster locations.
Managers/franchisee: Tell your employees to be more polite, check that they have made everything and put it in the bag, and not flat out lie to customers faces. Ensure adequate food/drink is ordered to prevent from running out of food or drinks so regularly. Ensure that those responsible for drink machine calibration are trained and doing their job.
Corporate: Please come down hard and...
Read moreMy experience tonight was the worst I’ve ever had. My boyfriend did a dine in order while I did an online to get an online exclusive box. He was paying with cash, he waited 15 minutes before anyone took his cash. The people behind the counter just stared until one finally came over. His order took awhile to come out. My online order was supposed to be ready at 8:15pm and I got it at 9:04pm( pics to prove)There were multiple workers in the back including the manager. Only three were working hard, the manger was eating a meal in the office and laughing with other workers. They were more concerned for drive thru people. If people were at the counter they didn’t care. Multiple doordashers came in along with dine in people. I was the LAST person to get food when I was the first person in the store(it was completely empty when we came in). The manager was beyond rude not only to me but others even getting an attitude with an old lady who asked for a plain beef burrito in which he replied “we can’t do that”. She said she saw it on the app and he proceeded to come around the counter in a very condescending tone saying “where? show me??” The manager did no work and didn’t care that I waited over an hour for my food. He told us they were working on it and didn’t even look at the screen. The workers would stare at you at the counter and do nothing. The two guys on the line (taller black man with dreads, and bigger white guy) and the girl on the drive thru were the only ones working out of 7 people there. They chose to work there no one is forcing them!! I and my boyfriend used to work in the restaurants specifically in making togos and drive thru orders so we try to have sympathy but this was just plain laziness. They need a whole new crew and a manager that...
Read moreWe placed our order at the kiosk and hit Pay cash at counter. We went to counter and could see the employees working on an order. The first mistake we made was assuming they were working on ours. We stood at the counter for at least 8 minutes before I sat down. My husband continued to stand. It then got quiet inside. I asked my husband to check to see if they made our food. He told me the employees were sitting down playing in their phones. So I went to the counter and asked loudly “ is anyone making our order?” The 2 employees on their phones looked up like huh? Then one dash’s when did you order? So I told them we ordered 10 min ago. He then states well if you didn’t pay we don’t see the order. Lmao!! How can we pay if no one comes to the counter? Then another hit comes over from the back and says you have to pay first. I told him we had been standing there and assumed they were working on it. They saw us standing there and Never once came to ask if we needed any type of service. We paid $42 for our food and patiently waited. I guess they got so mad that the young girl working there started roughly handling our food and even kicked a box while doing so. Slammed down the quesadilla cutter loudly several times. When they handed us our food and we got back to our place every single taco was broken in our order!!! We even called the number in the receipt and talked to someone who could care less. Avoid this place like the plague. Customer service is deplorable and the...
