My boyfriend and I decided to have a dinner out for early Valentine and his birthday since he will be out of town tomorrow. To start off the staff was friendly and fast so no complaint there. I ordered grilled salmon which came with wild rice mix and a side of choice. I chose the rice and chicken soup. My boyfriend ordered sushi and broccoli on the side. The soup was brought first. It should have been called ham with a sprinkle of rice soup stew. Not sure why there was ham in the very thick soup. The ham flavor was very strong and salty with very little rice. The salmon and sushi arrived with only a short wait time. The first thing I noticed was a very limp old sprig of rosemary on top of the rice. I had to pick out all of the pieces. The rice tasted like salty cardboard and was about 90% white rice. The Salmon was somewhat overcooked but it did taste pretty good until I took a bite all the way to the bottom. There was so much salt on the bottom that the granuals didn't dissolve. I requested a replacement of asparagus for the rice and dealt with salmon. Once again, asparagus was very salty with salt granuals sitting on the plate. The sushi was just ok and broccoli was salty. The manager walked by and asked my boyfriend how was everything and turned to me but when I opened my mouth to talk he turned and walked away. When the waitress came back to see if we wanted dessert I complained about all the salt and she could see I didn't eat very much of my food. She did apologize with a smile but made no offer to take it off our bill or even a give us a discount. We will more than likely...
Read moreCame in and sat at the bar as it was just myself and I wanted to sit and watch the Cardinals game while I ate. After ordering, the bartender went to the kitchen for something and the manager was at the bar. I asked him if he could change the channel to the Cardinals game, as the TVs were ALL on the Cubs game. He told me no, and suggested I move if I wanted to watch that game as it was on a different TV away from where I was sitting. To me, that was not very good customer service. I was literally the only person sitting at the bar and I didn't think it was a big deal to put only one of the TVs on the Cardinals game. Apparently, it was to him. In every restaurant I have ever been to, or worked at, if the guest asks you to turn on a specific sporting even, you do it. They come for the experience. I ended up cancelling my food order and left. I then went to a different place, where I was not treated as if I was asking for something completely outlandish. This was my first and last time here. The server himself was very nice. And I paid for my drink...
Read moreExtremely odd experience at this location. We were seated next to two booths with full plates of food that were barely touched and there were no customers at the tables. We were sitting for at least 20 minutes and still nobody cleared the tables. Now really didnt bother me that they werent cleared. They were barely touched and the patrons left... big red flag. Like they got upset and just walked out. Overall very odd atmosphere. If you have never tried La Quercia bacon, I would suggest not getting the BLT. They gave it to my 5 year old with his pancakes and 13 year old with her club sandwich. Have you ever smelled a pigs ear at Petsmart. Thats what it smells like. Disgusting. I am sure there is a market for foodies, but you served it to two kids and my wife had to send her sandwich back. My suggestion is you offer it to customers as an option, but besides that go grab yourself a pack of Oscar Meyer from the...
