I was looking for a restaurant in the area as we were playing in tournament. We selected this restaurant strictly on reviews.
When we got there we soon found out it was attached to a Holiday Inn Express hotel. We went in anyway.
It was awkward walking in with a party of 6. As it was full of elderly people and no music. It gave us diner vibes, but the staff was cordial and accommodating. Even though we were not sure we wanted to stay at this point.
We decided we're here let's just give it a try. We had the soft pretzels as a starter. They were okay. My hamburger was a GR Bacon burger with tater tots. It was delicious! The meat tasted fresh and juicy. The lettuce was shredded. I wish I had known, because it kind of made my sandwich messy once I started eating it.
We did order drinks. My margarita on the rocks was horrible. I didn't necessarily complain, but mentioned it to our waitress. I was not looking for free, just giving her an FYI. In the meantime, l sampled my husband raspberry Moscow Mule and it was amazing. So, I ordered that to sip on as my husband and the other couple ordered another round of Moscow Mules as well.
When we settled the bill, our waitress was kind enough to take the margarita off our bill since I ordered another drink. Which I thought was nice and great customer service.
I do recommend this restaurant if you want a nice great burger. The ambiance could use some work...
Read moreIf I could give a zero star on service I would. From the beginning when we weren't ready for a drink order and an eye roll from our waitress. All of our party said the food had no flavor, two ordering the French dip said the jus served tasted like colored water. The burger was dry at best. Our drink order was not brought correctly even though it was only two diet pops and two waters. We received our food and did not see our server for even a refill offer. We waited after finishing a time of almost 20 minutes before I found another server after the bar I walked by was unattended to ask for our check. We were advised she could not provide it. That she'd have to get out server. After about 10 minutes and one of our party leaving for our car. Our server asks "are you doing ok?" When we asked to pay the check she took out card without and then said don't you want to see the bill? I said yes, she brought it I said it was correct. She snatched it from my hand and then brought back the card and the copy to sign. She said a line cook burned their hand on our visit on 9/21. However, I got to the car and told my girlfriend about the excuse and the wait for the check. She said our server was outside smoking a cigarette while we waited for our bill. If the owners of holiday inn and the management of the restaurant want to represent their brand as this. I would not for even free food be a patron of their...
Read moreThey don’t seem to have enough staffing —the servers are all over the place —My server had to make their own salad and cut their own lemons they said for our food which took forever.”so they said”…. This makes it feel like your server doesn’t have enough time for you-_ We asked for the manager and they were no where to be found for nearly 20-25 mins. When they finally came over she spent too long side baring and it was a bit much. We miss our old servers the regulars … two young ladies one w/ red hair and the other was had a big smile , Tiana—-and man named Martie? We sat at the bar a few times back…once the young man left we stopped going there to eat. The older woman at the bar was cold, seemed annoyed —which is odd if you’re a bartender how are you not personable and friendly? Have a better attitude if you’re working w/ people. It was nice to feel recognized . The ground round in perrysbug used to be our go to place but over the last 1-2 years it’s declined and it’s sad to see a whole home place Run...
