We were here last night to get a drink before going home after seeing a show. I was with my husband and we were on a date night. We chatted with the bouncer. We are super friendly people who like talking to strangers. The bouncer was there with his friend, who looked like a bouncer. He actually told us he just puts on a black shirt and hangs out. We happened to visit the country which they were from, so we talked about that. Then the manager informed us that because we are intoxicated, he wouldn't let us in the bar. We were stunned. They had just let a group of girls who looked ?21 in with no issues who actually did seem drunk. We are in our mid-thirties. It felt like a power trip vs age discrimination. I hate to use that term but honestly, it's what it felt like. We ended up walking down the street and going to a much nicer place where they treated us well. I came back before we drove (one hour to get home, again, not intoxicated) and told the manager that as a healthcare professional I would never compromise driving and be "intoxicated". We have two very small children at home and were just excited to be out for my birthday. He missed the mark on this one. I understand you have to use judgement when doing your job, but yikes, totally...
Read moreLocation: In historic district beside hotel. Easy walk and accessible. Parking looked like a nightmare and cabs/ubers had to keep circling the block to get their procrastinating patrons.
Facility: Clean, good bar selection. Two floors, restrooms and bar on each floor and variety of bar sports. [8 Pool Tables, 4 Shuffleboard, 5 Dart Boards, Skeeball, Fooseball, Buck Hunter (Arcade), Golden Tee (Arcade)]
Drinks: Had bartender make me a California liquid cocaine drink and no problems with this request. Remembered the ingredients for next round and started a chain reaction. Southern Comfort, Malibu Rum, Amaretto, Pineapple Juice and splash of Blue Curacao fyi.
Pool Tables: I was there to shoot pool. The tables were 8ft reg pool tables, the stick selection was nice with straight sticks. You rent the table per hour at different prices depending upon the day and it's prorated to the minute. Good competition and the first floor players seem more serious about the game.
Overall: If your in the neighborhood and shoot pool this is your spot. Younger crowd 21-35ish, good bartenders and good pool...
Read moreApparently you don’t read your reviews. As stated a month ago you should update your site to inform patrons to make them aware of your requirements to enter. My experience with your staff was very RUDE. I was stopped after walking in the door like I was a criminal. I was asked for my ID and vaccinations card. I did not have my Vaccination card. I was told I could not enter. I went through my pictures and I did have a picture of vaccination card. I was still denied access because my wife vaccination card did not have her name on her card. I wanted to inform the party I was meeting that we could not come in. My wife stayed at the front while I started walking through the room. I was harassed and my path kept being blocked. My daughter see me a came over to see what was going on because I was surrounded by Staff. I explained to my daughter that we could not come in. I left. It turns out, that a TV personality that was meeting us was not harassed or not even asked to show vaccination card.
Apparently the rules only apply to the...
