I went to this place for the first time on a rainy Friday night. It's quite quaint and cute and very close to several public transportation options. I loved the atmosphere. The wine was good but not great but the service was terrible. Our server was no where to be found for 15 minutes when we were ready to order and when he finally showed up we found that he didn't know much about the menu which was rather annoying. I've been in the service industry for over a decade and even if you are new you should take the time to learn the menu during training. I explained what I like and asked for a wine suggestion and he wasn't helpful. I also asked whether or not the wine list was progressive and he didn't know what that meant (no surprise) but neither did the bartender (very surprising). Thats the type of thing you should know if employed by a wine bar. My friend had shrimp gnocchi which was fantastic, I had a lovely cheese plate with a Malbec and a flight of rosé for desert. The server began rushing by us as soon as we were 3/4 finished with our food. We ordered another glass of wine afterwards but had to leave quickly even though it was an hour until they closed because the server kept asking if we were ready for the check. There are too many great restaurants in Philly for me to...
Read moreHonestly, the only reason I'd come here is if the PHS pop up was closed or at capacity and i desperately needed to be outdoors.
The staff is not very knowledgeable, it takes 3 of them to answer a simple question that anyone who has taken RAMP should know. The food is horrendous for the price. $27 (before tax and tip) for the "cheese plate" I took a picture of it for reference. Notice how there is no honey or mustard or jam or fruits...nothing! The bread was rock hard too. Also, the server did not bring me napkins or utensils so I had to go get them myself, apparently I was just supposed to gnaw on the cheese not cut it or spread it?
On this visit I bought a bottle of wine, the meatball app and the cheesebpard and the total was $112. Foolishly I tipped 20% before I realized how terrible my experience would be. So basically I'm writing this review to save you the $134 dollars that I...
Read moreI hosted my 30th birthday at Jet back in November 2023. The service was extraordinary. From the start, communication with Jet was timely, helpful, and easy. Emily, the manager, was a delight to work with and even made little menus for my guests. The bar packages were extremely reasonable and I was allowed to bring in my own decor and birthday cake. We selected the drink package with a signature drink and the red wine mule was DELICIOUS. The snacks were a hit and everyone really enjoyed the drink options. Adam, our bartender for the night, was so friendly and helpful! I can't say enough about how wonderful Jet is, and I'm so glad we have such a great local spot close-by.
My husband and I are also members of the wine club at Jet and they have such a fun wine selection and newsletter. Jet regularly hosts creative events and are such a benefit to the...
