Shinto Japanese Sushi & Hibachi — Restaurant in Philadelphia

Extremely pleased with the quality. I've walked by this place for years when it was still called "Yellowtail" (before the recent renovation and rebrand to "Shinto") and its new look drew me in.

I ordered two Chicken Hibachi meals and a Spicy Crab Roll to go, and ordered a Salmon Sashimi to eat there while I waited. The Salmon Sashimi was fresh & tasty, make me excited for the rest. Upon arriving home with the take-out, my spouse and I dug into the hibachi & rolls, and we were beyond impressed by the quality. The hibachi was piping hot, with loads of tender chicken, a generous portion of sauced veggies, and delicious fried rice. We were similarly impressed with the Spicy Crab Rolls, which were similarly fresh, and packed with flavor.

Stumbled upon Shinto after a quick business meeting and decided to stop in—turns out it was their Grand Opening! Funny enough, I had just been talking about sushi the day before, so it felt like perfect timing.

The service was great—friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The decor is super cute, creating a comfortable atmosphere. I ordered the shrimp tempura and an avocado cucumber roll, along with a side salad. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and delicious.

Run, don't walk to this place before everyone finds out about it and the line is down the street! They've only been open about three months and it is just what this area needed. They can only seat 14 people But the service is attentive and the ambience is wonderful. Best of all the food is fresh and delicious and everything is made to order.
