Chocolate Works — Local services in Philadelphia

I moved to Philadelphia in 2023 from Bucks County PA once my kids went to college. After doing a lot of research, I opted to live in Old City so I toured a variety of apartment buildings and decided on Chocolate Works. I'm so happy I did! First lived on 3rd floor then when my lease came up for renewal, I moved to a bi-level apartment with a patio on first floor. The staff is extremely helpful - particularly Dan (Property Manager) and Nina (Lease Agent) - who are very nearly on property daily. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful also. absolute shame on this apartment complex for appealing a decision that would’ve allowed for the preservation of Zagar’s Painted Bride. They’re response to the review above is almost as insulting, stating they appealed the zoning because it was for a high rise building when they themselves are a high rise building with the same if not more stories than the 7 story building that was proposed and would’ve saved the city’s art. I have felt cheated. I booked correctly on BOOKING and when I arrive at the apartments the concierge tells us that they don't allow reservations on BOOKING.

It is a lie, since Booking has informed us that Chocolate works works with them. They are liars and the person in charge was not at her job in the building.

Finally we have had to find another hotel and pay for it. But the worst thing is that the Chocolate works managers have not contacted us. liars, They had actually rented more apartments...
