Came here a few weeks ago and it’s haunted me how bad this place was ever since, so I’m finally writing a review. The experience started out bad right out of the gate: came in, got in line - the giant QR code instead of a menu is stupid. Anyway, figured out what to order. Our turn comes up and … the two girls at the counter immediately turned to each other to start discussing their new stanley cups? it’s summer 2025 what is going on. anyway. eventually got their attention to order. Maybe neither of us looked rich enough to care about? The vibe in here is so weird. There’s plenty of seating, which is good. A pork roll egg and cheese sandwich, açaí bowl and coffee drink took somewhere around a half hour to arrive, which was wild. (Açaí bowl came way after the sandwich too…) Per my girlfriend (and my witness account) - the egg dripped right off the sandwich. Pork roll was incredibly thin and flavorless. Bad. One star. My açaí bowl was … fine? Proportions weren’t quite there but whatever. Mid. I guess I’d give that dish three stars on its own. Not worth going out of your way for. Drink was mediocre - don’t even remember what it was just that it was mid.
Bad service, slow food prep, and food that’s bad to mediocre. This place is not worth your time unless you care more about a wall of books than anything else about your...
Read moreI come here from time to time because it’s right around the corner from where I live. I like the one latte I always get. I have consistently had a poor experience here as it relates to service. As you can see, many reviews have noted how rude, passive aggressive and/or unbothered the baristas at this cafe are.
My drink order was missed. Not a big deal, mistakes happen. The issue is when I went to stand politely by the counter in order to inquire, the barista with the dirty blonde ponytail and glasses (who has been rude in the past) just ignored me until I finally said “excuse me, I think my drink order may have been missed” after watching her make the drinks of 6-8 customers who ordered after me. There was no apology for the mistake, barely looked at me, made my drink 5 minutes later and yelled out my latte without saying my name, despite saying the name of other customers.
I’ve noticed other comments about prejudicial treatment here, so maybe that’s what’s going on, as I am a Black woman. I maybe will message the owner directly and see what the response is, but I notice he has not responded on here to any comment addressing the rudeness of his staff, so maybe he doesn’t care. A 3.9 avg review.. you’d think addressing these comments would be a priority. Guess not.

Read morei live around the corner and have been here a handful of times given its proximity, and have regretted it each and every time. after my third or fourth bad experience i provided feedback directly to the restaurant - unsurprisingly i never heard from management or was offered a refund or anything. was really hoping this place would be successful
it has taken upwards of 35 minutes to get a singular drink order (one of their classic drinks that they’re supposedly known for) when there were less than 5 other people dining there. the servers are rude and curt though i feel for them because i imagine they are facing constant customer frustration.
my 5 year old son, who will eat just about anything;m, has turned down their muffins and other pastries after trying. bread is stale and i have witnessed someone who works in their kitchen come out to pet a customer’s dog and return to the kitchen without washing their hands. that was it for me.
major swing & a miss. so disappointing as we were very excited for something to finally replace the...
