Dishonest billing, hidden fees, and shady practices — beware.
If you value honesty and transparency, stay far away from this place.
I went in on October 4, 2025, with my wife and two others. The bill totaled $138.43 — but what was on that bill is the real problem.
First, two beers were added that I never ordered. My receipt clearly shows “Cali Squeeze” and “Tower Station,” both priced at $8.32 each. When I confronted the waitress (Rachelle), she gave me a lame excuse that a “new person” — who wasn’t even my server — supposedly went to my table and added them. She did apologize afterward, but that doesn’t excuse the situation. My wife even overheard another table complaining about the exact same issue: drinks added to their bill that they never ordered. That’s not coincidence — that’s a shady pattern.
She eventually refunded the beers, but only after I called her out. No accountability, just a refund once she was caught. If I hadn’t checked the receipt carefully, they would’ve gotten away with it.
Then came the upsell. I asked for their beef dip, which they no longer serve. The waitress suggested the poutine instead but never mentioned that everything would be billed à la carte. They charge extra for gravy, and the amount they give barely covers the fries. When I asked for more gravy, she didn’t mention there’d be another charge until it appeared on the bill. My receipt has multiple separate “GRAVY $2.08” line items — a complete nickel-and-dime move.
Between the unauthorized drink charges, undisclosed add-ons, and the half-hearted apology after being caught, this place operates without integrity. My wife overheard another table having the same problem, which makes it clear this isn’t a one-time mistake.
Between the shady billing, hidden upcharges, and lack of transparency, this was one of the most dishonest dining experiences I’ve had. If you do eat here, check every single line on your bill — or better yet, spend your money...
Read moreWe visited on a Monday for lunch around 1 and other than a couple people at the bar the restaurant was empty. We sat ourselves and a server came over almost immediately to take our drink order. We looked over the menu and all of us decided on burgers. We ordered mozzarella sticks to begin but place or meal order at the same time.
Unfortunately the server came back out to tell us they had run out of mozzarella sticks so we left it at just the burgers.
I ordered the Seamus pub burger with no extras (cheese, avocado and bacon are all extra charges) but I did upgrade to the onion rings instead of steak fries. The burger as delicious with a great char taste that gave the burger that little something extra in the taste. The vegetables on the burger were crisp and fresh which also attributed to the yummyness. The onion rings were good but not necessarily worth the $2 upcharge. They were also just above room temperature.
Hubby ordered the garlic parmesan burger and said it was delicious. He got cottage cheese as his side and that was up to his liking.
Our daughter ordered the Western burger and she said it was one of the better Western burgers she's had. I smoked the BBQ sauce from the burger and it was slightly spicy with a great smoky taste to it. She got the steak fries which were good but I would have preferred a crispier outside. They were however very hot when they came to the table.
Drinks weren't filled as quickly as I would like but once we asked they were filled quickly.
Parking can be tricky as it is located downtown. We parked in the first spot we found and then walked to the restaurant.
A few missteps (no cheese sticks, lukewarm onion rings, slow refills) but I would give this place another chance only because the burgers were...
Read moreFor an Irish Pub it's nice clean. Patio seemed always be crowded. I realized that it tends to an early crowd before everyone migrates to another bar or joint to continue their festivities. People choose this spot to met one another as it's real easy to find and it's not on a street that's heavily travel on here in the downtown area of Phoenix. With the other hot spots around not far you can meet friends and feed yourselves before you go out bar hoping. I didn't eat there so I don't know anything about menu but I hang and met a friend in that's how I met others doing the same as we all walked in looking for our friends to meet and go out. Others there were cool and happy. They didn't mind the small sidewalk patio as much some do. The door man was very friendly and observant as one can be in job. No trouble seem to lurk around nor any elements of vagrants or crusties (beggars) which makes your sidewalk patio visit more pleasant. Good place to take a date or loved for dinner looks nice inside and clean and plenty of seating as well. Your standard typical decorative motif and bar. Bartenders seemed to know there drinks as I heard and seen a few mixed drinks people were enjoying and sharing even. Beer was cold and inviting. "Gypsy Lizzard" "Says So". Enjoy if you are in downtown district or have to meet up with someone for any reason choose this or visit this spot. It wont be disappointing nor reflect upon you badly in front of your friend, date or business meet. Lunch or dinner. Right between 1st Ave and N. Central Ave. on the border of East and West Monroe St. Funny but their address say W. Monroe St. In the downtown area of...
