**4 Stunning Bars in Phoenix Worth Checking Out 🍸 Save This for Later!!!**

We went here for appetizers and cocktails before attending a concert at the Orpheum Theatre. We had missed celebrating our anniversary a month before and this was our make-up date. When we were seated we were a little disappointed with the location but the staff was super accommodating and moved us to a cozy and comfortable booth that was perfect. The staff worked together serving patrons in a team format. For the most part, Marissa, was our server and she was very kind and helpful, guiding us from cocktail to cocktail to suit our taste. During our visit there several other staff members (Katie, Shelby, Kat) stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. Between us, we ordered La Puesta del Sol, Harvest Essence, and Turaco. All were lovely! My husband had the La Puesta del Sol which was a spicy and savory concoction and a great start to the evening. I started with the Turaco, a light strawberry, lemongrass, and ginger vodka drink in a tall wine glass. My husband then, at the suggestion of staff, tried the Harvest Essence. Warmed by mezcal, with the refreshment of grapefruit and lime, and a depth of flavor layered with turmeric and sage, I couldn't stop myself from taking sips of this lovely drink. All were decorated beautifully with fresh herbs and flowers. The appetizers we ordered were the Olive Oil and White Bean Hummus and the Mushroom Balsamic Glaze Tart. The hummus was served with delicious freshly-made and toasted crusty bread. The mushroom tart was a light phyllo-dough base topped with aioli and arugula. Almost at the very end of our time there, Marissa came by with another Harvest Essence and asked if we wanted it on the house; of course, after stealing several sips from my husband's drink we couldn't say no to this generous surprise! The evening was perfect and we will definitely look forward to returning to this little downtown gem!

As a local guide with many years experience reviewing restaurants I urge you NOT TO patronize this OVERPRICED bar in downtown Phoenix. First of all I was left standing outside the bar in the hot Phoenix weather as it is not clear how you enter the bar. No one helped me or tried to direct me into the bar after it had opened. Me and my friend separately tried to sit down at a table as opposed to the bar. We were both dressed formally and appropriately. They told both of us SEPARATELY that tables were reserved. Unfortunately this proved to be a lie as no one came to any of the tables we tried to sit at and they had no reserved signs on them. The bar must have some racial prejudice against us. I was also told and double checked with an employee that drinks were two for the price of one as part of “Happy Hour” on Saturdays. There is a sign displayed in the pictures I added to my review that shows Happy Hour is on Mondays and Fridays but the staff member told me it was on Saturdays too. This employee lied to me, and then denied that she had lied. I managed to get one of my drinks taken off my bill as a courtesy, but of course this wasn’t without a fuss from the staff member. As a response to my Google review they have alleged confusion on our part. This bar is digusting and should be shut down for lying to and discriminating against customers. I would definitely recommend checking out Quartz which has a much more inclusive vibe.

Unsolicited charges, bad service, rude management! Popped in spontaneously for a drink with a friend, asked for a drink that was on the menu, with an added shot of tequila - the bartender went back and forth with me for about three minutes insisting on a different drink. I gave in and ordered what was recommended instead of what I wanted. I didn’t like the drink, but no further service was provided for me to order again. There were maybe ten other people there and it was not busy at all. After an hour of nobody addressing us, we left. I paid for the drinks (nearly $40 for two drinks), with no tip, only to be charged a nearly $10 tip (that I did NOT give) the following evening. I called to dispute the added tip and Trey (the manager) confirmed the original charge then asked me why I didn’t tip! I explained my experience and I was told that I would receive the refund within the next few minutes, but I did not. I called again and asked for a full refund per my experience and Trey hung up on me because “I’m busy right now”. Will never go here again, and as an apartment and hotel property manager in downtown Phoenix, I’ll make sure to specifically recommend people NOT visit.

Edited per the management’s response - Trey did not say “a few days” or “minutes”, he said I’d see my money back by end of day, which is why I called later that evening. He also was not yelled at as once I was transferred to him he answered immediately with one quick run-on sentence, then hung up. There was no apology or explanation trying to be made - very weird gaslighting response. Highlighting the negative account but not the fact that your employee STOLE from my account is very weird. Additionally, I eventually disputed the charge as the refund never came through. Stealing a tip should have never happened in the first place but I imagine this must be done often as that was not even addressed in the response to my review. Gross...

My reservation to The Rose Garden was at 7PM, and we even arrived a few minutes earlier too. Right away you see how busy it was, and how limited the seating arrangements are too. There are about 4 large booths against the walls and a handful of tables making up the middle of the establishment too. The Hostess was also the waitress for a number of tables too, this was the reason why we had to wait about 10 minutes, even though I made the reservation for our Galentines Day group making up o ly 3 people including me. As soon as we were seated, we had our water cups issued, then ignored for about 20 minutes before the Hostess/Waitress came back to ask us what we wanted to drink. Once ordered, and drinks have been provided about 10 minutes has passed. All 3 of our drinks were served very strong and the Daquri my friend ordered for herself was more rum than anything else, that is the one we had to send back. After some more time Jason passed where we are finally noticed again, we placed our order for the porkbelly sliders and Spicy Pala. We waited almost another 15 to be presented with a burnt pepperoni pizza and Sliders with more bread and tough porkbelly, making this not enjoyable to eat. After waiting almost 45 minutes for our appetizers, we opted to have our check provided instead. The speed at which the Hostess/Waitress came and not only provided the check, and collected it was within 5 minutes. Please save your money and not come to this place for anything group related. The price point is not worth being ignored and having been served food that does not justify...
