Probably one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The host was rude from the very start. He avoided eye contact with both me and my husband and didn’t say a word with a sour look on his face. He just pointed to where we were going to sit. I asked if we could move to a booth since the booth seats have cushioning and he was visibly annoyed and moved us one table up.
He turned and left so quick I didn’t have a chance to really look at the table and noticed there was a booth but no cushion on the seat. I waited until the server came and asked to move to another booth with cushioning. I didn’t want to be a pain but my body was pretty sore from the water rides at splash country the day before. I’ve never had two rude staff members in a row, I swear they were either brothers or the host just changed his shirt because the server also turned sour and left while I was still talking to him after he grunted to us move to a table to the left.
Booth with cushioning secured (but at what cost). Moving tables had us with a different server who was friendly. I ordered the wonderland and it came out suspiciously fast. When I tried the food it was cold which was strange because it got to the table in less than five minutes, there was no way it had time to get cold when it was just made. I didn’t eat much of it nor did I say anything about the food because at this point I just wanted to leave. I’ve never felt fear that my food could be messed with but the attitude of the staff and my strangely cold food put me on edge. I left a 10 dollar tip on my order. My husband wasn’t hungry so he didn’t get anything.
I wonder if asking to be moved twice was unreasonable or justified the terrible service. I feel really disappointed because I’ve always wanted to try Flapjacks and this will my first and last time going. If they are this rude and miserable right at the door, imagine what they could do to your food if you inconvenienced them by more requests...
Read moreReally wanted to try this place while on a vacation with friends, and left disappointed. We had looked at their menu prior and thought the food would be delicious, but we were wrong. It took awhile for a server to come over and get our beverage order which was only a minor inconvenience. My group ordered a variation of the pancakes they offer, different skillets, chicken and waffles, as well as other things. The food took about 30 minutes to come out and was very disappointing at first glance. I had ordered the townsend skillet which was just on a regular plate with hash browns and eggs next to each other, which confused me because it looked like a side order and not the 12 dollar item I paid for. I had added cheese and barely got a sprinkle on top. (If I added it to my order, wouldn’t you assume I wanted a decent portion of it?) The server wasn’t even sure it was the correct order because it did not look anything like the pictures. Aside from my dish, the chicken was decent but the waffle it came with was hard and cold and just overall not good. The others who received the specialty pancakes said the flavor was not there, and the pancakes were tough and rubbery. Overall, ALL the food was cold?? Our server only came over to take our orders and then deliver the items, she came off as unfriendly and made us feel like we were inconveniencing her. It’s upsetting when the service is like that because i’m a food service worker myself, and would never treat any customer that way. It takes a LOT for me to write a review, however my entire group and I felt like it was needed. Let me close by saying just don’t go here, there’s bad service, overpriced cold and flavorless food, and you’ll just leave disappointed and...
Read moreI have been to other Flapjack locations and always had good experiences so while on a trip I wanted to take my company to try it. We had a 50 minute wait to start, which is about normal waiting for the restaurant. Once we got seated the tip from the previous customers were still on the table under the coffee. The table had been cleaned but the waitress had not picked it up. After about 5 minutes she came over, got her tip and asked if we were ready to order. We ordered our coffee and food at the same time. She brought our coffee to is within a few minutes and said she would be right back with creamer. After waiting about 20 minutes I went and asked for creamer and silverware. I got ONE set of silverware and 5 small things of half and half. I went back to our booth and waited about 15 more minutes then our food came out. Our syrup thing was completely empty so I asked for that, more creamer and another silverware. She brought us those promptly. Our food was not good at all. The pancakes were so dry, the bacon was not even completely cooked after asking for extra crispy and no drink refills. I hate to complain at a place like this because I know it's busy but it was a completely terrible service experience and food. I did tell the waitress when she asked about all of this. She said she was sorry and gave us our bill. We didn't see her anymore at all. We still left a tip of about 13%. We will try other locations...
