Update: 7/31 the owner still refuses to return my two nights that I’m requesting back due to unsanitary conditions and how nasty our room was! The most recent health report they had 12 violations! I believe they like to scam people as much as possible! The customer relations number for corporate is not willing to help as well! I highly highly recommend somewhere else to stay.
This is based on my experience with this hotel! We arrived late at night and per the employees request we had to pry the front doors open just to enter to check in. The lady behind the counter was very nice and tried to help the best she could. Then everything took a turn. The parking was awful. It was very crowded and small. It is ridiculous that to get to our room you had to go up one side of the ramp and down another ramp. The ramp is very steep! Once getting to the room we all were so tired we went right to sleep because we had drove 10 hours to get there. Upon waking took a shower and saw the tile peeling up from the shower floor. The ceiling in the bathroom has black mold growing. Just to walk from the bathroom to the bedroom our feet were black from the floor being disgusting. Moved the night stand next to the bed and saw something that had been spilt on the floor along with several cough drops. We kept feeling like something was crawling on us. Upon looking we saw we had bed bugs. A couple of us had bites from them. We immediately checked out and said we had an emergency. Upon checking out the lady at the desk did cancel our second room that our family members were supposed to check into later that afternoon, but she was to busy with her cell phone to even care about the problem. So no I didn’t have a chance to tell her, plus she said we checked out at 1:36pm when I gave her the room keys at 8:45am. We were only there for 5 hours. We ended up having to get another room somewhere else that cost more. I got charged for the other two nights that we were not there. I did ask for a refund for the other two nights, they informed me that it is against hotel policy to do refunds. I called customer relations with Red Roof and they filed a complaint for me and said they needed to reach out to the owner and the property manager to see what can be done. Received an email from one of them that stated they would be looking into it but would not be refunding me because I didn’t inform the receptionist at the front desk, like I said she didn’t care because she was to busy on her cell phone! They also informed us by email they don’t have bed bugs! Funny because we have bites on us and we didn’t have any before coming to the hotel. So if you stay here, make sure to take pictures of everything. I won’t be going back there! The only thing they can do for me is refund my $437.94. That’s all I’m asking for. I don’t mind paying for the 5 hours we were there! If I would have seen or known the problems we wouldn't have stayed. I have stage 4 cancer and my youngest had open heart surgery just a year ago, so both is us have a weakened immune system already. Read moreI stayed at this Red Roof Inn for two nights $72 a night Pretty reasonable While I was there My car unexpectedly broke down And the mechanics said it may take a couple of days So I decided to get a room at the Red Roof Inn And paid for two nights in advance Exclamation point With a hundred dollar deposit for any damage in the room From my pet because this is a pet friendly motel. After my car was fixed within hours I went to the manager and asked if it was possible to reimburse me for the one night because I will not need it and they said it was against their policy And I said I'm giving you ample notice That I really don't want to stay the second night Because I need to get back to North Carolina. They refused to give me my money. I have never heard of such a thing and I've been traveling my entire life With the exception of when you have reservations and you cancel them there is a fee Nevertheless I checked out yesterday August 14th At approximately 8 34 A.m The room was impeccable I swept it out because of the dog hair Everything was wiped down And I went to the front desk and a woman said that I should be able to get my deposit back by 2PM Well lo and behold I didn't get my deposit back so I called them today which was the 15th of August And they said they were keeping my Deposit because apparently there was vomit on the blanket. Not to mention it was the second bed that was not used So that's almost impossible because we didn't use the bed and not to mention my dog slept in her bed on the floor So they are Refusing to give me my deposit back Period this place is a scam They have Probably 200 rooms And maybe six of them We're with guests including myself. They Find something to keep your Deposit Mark my words!!!! Even if that was the case which in fact it was Not They will scam you and make up something so you do not get your money back and I am sure that I am not the first nor will I be the last. I absolutely would not recommend the Red Roof Inn in Pigeon Forge!!!.

I SWEPT THE ROOM PRIOR TO LEAVING AS WELL AS DUSTED!!!!!.Then the Clerk said something that looked like vomit was on the extra bed!!! THEY HAVE CHANGED THE STORY MULTIPLE TIMES!!!! Read moreDON'T USE not friendly not dog friendly even though they say they are. The desk people are nasty can't or won't get out of a chair. Pay a deposit that they don't give back. Don't lose a key you get charged 10 $, don't ask for an extra key you get charged 10 $ don't lose the parking pass you get charged 10 $. If you take your dog don't let it shed you won't get deposit back, don't let dog on bed don't let dog on sofa if your lucky enough to have one, make sure to bring your pets bed with you an don't think about sitting on sofa to watch the TV it's at the other end of the room. The so called "free" breakfast isn't free unless you pay. The restaurant is nasty . The coffee maker in room doesn't work worth a bean, the bathroom area is disgusting there is no room attendance if you want an extra towel YOU go to the desk an get the towel and get charged for it to boot. I can only say one thing about this place CHEAP, There are loads of other hotels just as cheap an in view of this one. The only thing good to say is it is within 2 blocks of The Island which has Margaritaville hotel, lots of shops an eateries and rides,are very pet friendly. Sleeping in your car is nicer than the red roof inn. Go anywhere but this place. EDITED / ADDED I really wish I could say better things about this hotel as it is in an ideal location. When people bring their dogs its because that dog IS FAMILY or our our child, you wouldn't make you child sleep on the floor would you ? This kind of industry is not easy, I know I worked it for years. The owner/ company had to take the good with the bad an treat people the way they want to be treated. The credit cards are on file and you can charge it for damages or losses but you can be nicer about it. You only have to say / tell people that the card will be charged for lose or damages AFTER they have checked out, not 10 $ for this 10 $ for that an to charge 10 $ for a lost key card or an extra one , you can purchase 1000 cards for about a hundred bucks so the charge of a lost or extra key card is TOTALLY ridiculous. An idea for you make up a bed and use OLD DISCARDED PILLOWS AN BLANKETS for these, a 20 x 24 wood frame on 2 or 3 inch legs would be a great addition for those traveling with dogs. Cheap to make an using old pillows an BLANKETS keeps cost down. A bit more caring a few more smiles and a lot less pay for this pay for that makes for a much nicer...
