The absolute worst experience I've ever dealt with. First let's start with the area. The immediate area is surrounded by the library and a bus stop where people do drugs and even nod out. This is important bc the staffs attitude reflects it's surroundings. Meaning they're rude due to dealing with the nonsense that comes with all of that.

My personal experience on my first time ever being there was horrendous. Food I got a single hotdog that was almost $7 Chile meat and cheese and they put the hotdog into the styrofoam upside down. Leaving the toppings smeared to the container. When I pointed this out and asked for another one since it was ruined they treated me like I was a drug addict trying to finesse. (Hotdog wasnt even ate from) They accused me of purposely sabotaging the dog and admitted no wrong. When the cheese and meet was clearly smeared on the bottom of the container. I wasn't even trying to get money back but get another dog. I gave them the messed up one.

I was accused, gaslit and insinuated/treated like a criminal and called names by the owner. All over a mistake they made I spat at the building and it's business and declared I'll never go there again.

Absolute disgusting place there's no chairs or anything to sit at because they're trying to discourage the DRUG ADDICTS and HOMELESS from entering since the area is so infested with (unsavory individuals)

Don't waste your time, or money. You also won't...

I use to go to one of the original six locations downtown as a boy with my dad. You ate at a counter..no chairs. You would see businessmen & women dressed for work eating the staple natural casing hot dog.

Apparently they've changed ownership or managers recently. They don't subscribe (according to them) to any delivery services, but as of yesterday they were on the Doordash website. So I call to check and see how to order my favorite hotdogs (for a family) and all I get is attitude. Mind you I'm looking (along with three WITNESSES...that will be important to them later) at the doordash site and they're listed. While the person on the other end swears their not, is rude, and hangs up on me. Then a male manager calls back an alleged, quite falsely (witnesses are a great thing), that when I called back to complain, I started the conversation trying to "cuss him out."

This isn't the same place it was before and, in my opinion, is what doesn't make our city great anymore. If it were me, there are way better dog for less grief.

In case they don't understand reviews, they are the opinion of the reviewer and therefore protected speech under the US...

Wow, the best hotdog I had in a long, long, long time. I usually will not order a hotdog from anywhere, my husband loves hotdogs. Bump into this place via work and I told my husband to try it. I was asking customers and servers about the hotdogs. The customers said they always goes there to get hotdogs, but the only problem is that they close too early ( another customer vouched on that. Lol) my husband got the 2 hotdog combo. I took my chances and got a Chicago style hotdog combo. Lord and behold, It was amazingly, outstanding. I mean, I had not had a hotdog like that in a long time, like when I was a child. Every bite was good. The only down fall was I wished that I had ordered two. I’m sad that I don’t have a beginning picture, sure do have the ending. Will definitely return tomorrow to get 2 more lol. KUDOS to...

This is a hidden gem and underestimated food place in downtown, please go there and grab lunch when you can! I came here for the first time last week with a colleague. She ordered a hotdog, and I ordered a fish sandwich. Their fish sandwich is HUGE and DELICIOUS. FYI it does take 15 minutes to cook the fish for your sandwich. If you order a hotdog, you would get it within 5 minutes. Their fries are pretty good too. They are not open for long hours, like 11am to 4pm only, so please go and support them during lunch!

Most underrated restaurant in downtown, and one of few that still has the charm of Old Pittsburgh. If you, like me, are heartbroken about The O closing then look no further than Wiener World. They, like the O, have delicious, naturally casing dogs, as well as oversized French fry portions. They also have $1 La Prima coffee. Staff is very friendly as well. God bless Wiener World
