Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Pleasant Grove

DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! My wife and I decided to try Slims - partly because it was what was open in this area at 8:45. She got the classic club and I got the slim five tender meal. We did the drive-through. Service in the drive-through was pretty bad. It was our first time there and so I asked a few questions about the meal and sauces. I could tell the worker was tired and, he quickly grew frustrated with my questions. We got our meal and left. There were no napkins in the bag. I opened up my box of Of tenders, fries and toast. The toast was stale, fries were cold and three of the five tenders we really like small chicken nuggets. One was no larger than a golf ball (see the pic). I could not believe that this cost me $14. The chicken had really good seasoning, but I could tell that it had been sitting in a warming tray I was not fresh. My wife liked the sandwich, but the fillet was super small. If Google would let me provide a lower score than I would. Maybe it is better at peak times when the food is fresh but Super disappointed to spend almost $30 and have slightly better than...

Overall I loved it! It was my first time there and I went during the lunch rush. I ordered the tenders and Mac n cheese, and got it to go. I didn't get to eat it until about 10 mins later, and the food was still hot and tasty. Definitely worth going back to see what else they have.

Mac N Cheese: very flavorful and they use real cheese. The consistency was alright - I enjoy slightly firmer noodles however, but still good. I would also have loved a crumble on top like I've seen other places do, but it's still a good dish.

Tenders: crispy, even after waiting the 10 minutes in the bag before eating them. I tried them plain and the flavor was great, and the chicken was juicy. I traded between dipping them in the honey bbq and the slim sauce, and both were excellent.

My only real complaint was that it took approximately 10 minutes to get my food (my receipt said 12:28 when it was printed, and it was about 12:40 when I got the bag). That being said, I literally came during lunch rush and understand how crazy it is, so still 5...

My sister and I stumbled upon this establishment on a whim as we waited for a play to begin. I told her before we came that if the food wasn’t that good that I would be disappointed. We entered, and we were immediately welcomed by a nice girl. I I gazed upon the menu, and soon found the holy grail. Chicken and Waffles. I asked how big the waffle was, and she said it was “a pretty good size” and that was enough for me to order it. We looked for a place to sit, looking at the dapper chicken on the front of the building, and chose the open garage patio to eat in. The waffle came swiftly, and it was pre-buttered and pre-syruped. I must not go into great detail about the quality of this meal, because I fear that speaking so highly of this meal would not ever do justice to the celestial experience I had here at slim chickens.
