My wife is a vegetarian. Her experiences at Panera are less than satisfying. Being that it is a space that touts healthy eating, too many options are meat related. I am a conscious meat eater, however, I understand her plight. Chicken on salad is ridiculous. In Canada, meats are add-on's you pay extra for. Here, we remove the meat and charge the same, while giving a smaller portion. How capitalist can you be while supposedly wholesome?! It's time Panera gets with the times and offers vegetarian options not as options minus meat. Have a vegan consult with you, have specialized menu options, be the change we want to see in the world...get it together. Until then I won't have a crumb from your establishment pass my lips. Here is my wife's post from a few days ago that was ignored. "Panara Bread discriminates against vegans and vegetarians by having meat come standard in every salad and if you choose to hold it, you are still charged for it. That means in their monthly profit and loss check they are making about three dollars every time they screw over someone who doesn't eat meat....In addition to whatever the profit margin on the item in question is. Don't know who is managing it or what has changed, but the last two times I have been there have been awful. @ 3 weeks ago we placed a take out order, arrived to pick it up @ 15 min later. The guy in front of my was placing an order. I was sent to the back for pick up, Order was not ready, while I waited, the guy who ordered in front of me got his food before mine that I had called in prior to arriving. I asked the person behind the counter why and they said taht it was just the way it was done!!! Is that a reason?
Tonight I attempted to call in an order, was put on hold for 4 min, then someone else came on, I said I was holding to place a To Go order, they said please hold. Left me on hold another 3 min. I hung up, drove to the location and ordered. Food was ready is @ 10 min which was fine. Got home and the order was wrong! Tai Chicken salad with no dressing packed, and the Italian sandwich was on the wrong bread. Paid good money for the wrong food and had to find out when I got home to enjoy it.
I hope the company fixes what ever is going on at this location or they will be losing me and many...
Read moreImmediately after walking into the door I noticed I was getting a strange look from the manger when I was about to order. I placed my order. After a few minutes my order was ready, I had two meals and a smoothie that I could not carry all at once, I noticed a nice employee walking past and I asked him to assist me in bringing my order to my table. Once on our way to the table, I noticed the manager comment on this employee’s actions as it seemed like he did not want him to help me. The manager asked the employee what he was doing to which the employee responded with “customer service”. After I had been seated I thanked him for helping me so I did not have to make two trips. Once seated and eating my meal, I noticed the manager had pulled the employee aside and started to raise his voice at the kid, it seemed like he was very annoyed that he had helped me. I cannot believe this is how the manager treats his employees at the store, not wanting his employees to help customers when their help is requested.
