Captain D's — Restaurant in Pooler

I'm went there after work night before last ...when I pulled in I realized the dinner rush had just began. So I was prepared to wait, I just had 26 teeth surgically removed, and got new ones... this is just about the only place I can get food that doesnt choke me. I eat here a lot. I have never had a problem with the quality of food or the service ...some times the wait is a bit of a stretch, but the food is always hot. Now the night I am talking about was Thursday May 30th. They had a young lady that was only 16 years old running the register and taking orders in the front of the restaurant I noticed that there were three girls working the food Line and the drive-thru...but only the one youngster up in front. Now these days I'm a commercial painter and I work at a construction site but before my current job I was a waitress at Denny's for 9 years and never in those nine years did I ever encounter a sixteen-year-old individual that could keep a steady work pace, get all orders correct and deliver food while running the register at the same time. This young lady did it all with a beautiful smile on her face. These days its easier to find a teenager cursing someone out than it is to find one who is actually polite, and very proper. She was ALL THAT AND MORE! I waited for my food about 7 to 10 minutes the entire time watching her work and I was very impressed! I watched her clear a line out the door 3 times, never getting stressed, never making a mistake , and never slowing her pace. SHE IS AMAZING ! SHE DESERVES SOME RECOGNITION... I dont know who trained this girl but, They did an awesome job. Not to mention her Parents ....WOW ....you have one exceptional kid ! Be as amazing as you are always...someone is watching that really appreciates your effort and your positive attitude. You are rare and Awesome. You are destined for...

This place ain't ever open. Someone needs to sort the hours out online because they close as early as 6pm... not at 8pm. Waste of time driving all the way there to find out they just wanted to close early. Drove all the way out on 3 seperate occasions, all before 8pm, to find out they're closed every time. Might as well close this place down.

My advice is to head to the Culvers next door or Carrey Hillards for seafood, because if you try getting it from here you'll be waiting your whole life to even try it. That's if you ever catch them open.

*Now if you want some real good Seafood... Sandra's Seafood in Pooler is where it's at. The drive there vs Captain D's is well worth it. They are open right now! Food is fresh and out within minutes.

To the owner... I think it's time to acquire some new staff. As it stands they are running your business straight into the ground. I will never return to this location.

Employess are extremely rude when customers show up because they want to close wayyyyy before they are supposed to. Dude started running out the building and at our vechicle yelling because we were disappointed in them closing early.

If you hate your job that much then you need to look somewhere else. You are there to work. Not try to take off early and...

If I could give this place zero stars I would. The manager Ivory is completely and utterly rude! There is no customer service at this location. They had a particular special going on and the signage to match I was told the sign is wrong and they don’t “have a button” for the special. If the sign is wrong and you know it’s wrong why is it still posted. I informed the manager Ivory that I would be calling corporate regarding his behavior and his answer was ok with an attitude. I informed corporate of his attitude and the situation they acted stunned and stated that I would receive a call back from the owner that was over a week ago. I have not spoken to anyone that is supervising over Ivory. I was excited to see that we were getting a Captain d’s but after this experience I will never return. I do not recommend you spending your money or time here at least until they learn how to show customer service.

Edit: I have contacted corporate already and that stated that someone would be reaching out to me. I haven’t heard back...
