Day two of our driving holiday – we decided not to have breakfast at our hotel (The Historic Bishop Hotel) because we wanted something more substantial than croissants. We crossed Water street towards the sea, and went in to have a look at their food display. There were many items that look scrumptious. I ended up with the breakfast sandwich with organic egg, melted brie cheese, roasted tomatoes and greens, on a toasted ciabatta bun. My partner ordered blueberry brioche bread pudding with butter sauce. The food looked presentable, one bite of my sandwich tells me that this is not some fast food joint – the person in the kitchen really knows what he is doing. The roasted tomatoes were very tasty. The ciabatta was brushed with oil before toasting. And of course the bread pudding was awesome. It looked sufficiently dry in the cooler, but perfect for soaking up the butter sauce. We came back for breakfast again the next morning. I really regret that we didn't come back for lunch as well, (as we got distracted by some quiche next door which turned out to be awful.) If we do come back to stay in Port Townsend, one of the reasons would be to eat at the...

I went in with my toddler and received the best treatment, rapid service, delicious food, and tender loving care towards my daughter.
I was initially really nervous bringing her in because, well, toddlers do toddler things. But this visit turned out to be so special!
My daughter ate her ENTIRE bowl of black truffle Mac n’cheese (which is unheard of, she always walks away from her food).
The staff were so sweet and let my daughter help set the table. She loved that! Pretty sure she wants a job there now, lol.
We also shared the best damn chocolate cookie I’ve ever had in my life. Just sayin.
I’m not sure what kind of snooty-snoots are giving this place less than 5 stars, but our experience today was outstanding.
Thank you for giving my daughter and I a beautiful, memorable experience....
Read moreNice Cafe inside. Limited menu. Ordered ham, brie, and Dijon toasted sandwich. Asked for Dijon on both sides of the bread. Sandwich was on a big roll. Good bread, plenty of ham, way too much Dijon slathered on both sides. Could not see or taste any brie. Threw some bread with Dijon to a nearby Seagull who ate it and spit it out. Too hot for even the Seagull! Went back inside and told cashier it was way too much mustard. She was too busy to scrape some mustard off or remake it. Sandwich came with a salad that was greens picked out of a box and put on a plate. Not impressed with this Cafe or the customer service. Almost $20.00 for this sandwich. If you eat here, be very specific with your order. Others in my party had the Caprese sandwich and said it...
