I hate to say I was very disappointed in this place. I had high hopes for high tea as its raved about online but their execution is not worth the price they charge. Definitely did not live up to the hype but the physical room is worth a stop in maybe for just a cocktail. The high tea definitely is not for those who can’t eat dairy, would be great to see a more veg-friendly option. My advice would be to retrain staff on high tea service and maybe don’t let them wear yoga pants while serving my overpriced cup of tea. My server was… not great. He did a pretty bad job of explaining anything and it took quite a while to even be addressed once seated. He also got very weird when I ordered a drink but forgot my ID in the hotel room - said I couldn’t order but that the person with me could order 2 for herself but we said no we weren’t interested anymore. So then he brought out a drink anyways and charged us for it. Also, the music should not be playing Top 40 hits during a tea… it’s just so weird and not the vibe. And lastly, the tables are hilariously too small to hold a tea pot, 2 tea cups, and the leaning tower of pastries we were given. If I had ordered real food, it physically would not have fit on my table. The tea selection was very limited and I was expecting something far more extensive at this price point. Also, did not expect that we had to share a kettle and the water temp was no where near what it needed to be for proper steeping. Again, really cool concept but poor execution led to this review. It’s more worth it to thrift your own tea cups, buy a bag of loose leaf tea, and have your own high tea at the Rose Gardens. Will not be recommending...
Read moreAbigail Hall had been on my list , since I saw them on Instagram and it was only befitting that I came here during the time that they were celebrating Women
s month along with two other incredible women who also happen to be fellow YES members . The bar is tucked away on Woodlark Hotel's first floor and has a really intimate ,moody vibe with dark hues and pink curtains and maroon couches taking centerstage . The walls are hand-painted mural by local Portland artist Michael Paulus and gives the place an old ,intimate feel . The drinks were all fabulous , I mean there is nothing that you can go wrong with .All three of us had the same drink in the first round and loved it and decided to get different ones the next round & I feel the reviews stayed the same - Everyone loved what they had . The presentation , the flavor profiles and our server Jacinta
s recommendation all hit the spot. My only complain would be that the drinks came in such dainty glasses that we were left craving for more .What we had - Bergamota , Chanel-tini ,Ru-paloma,Royal Equestrian Ballet - All fabulous drinks that you can't go wrong with . The food menu is slightly limited but they do have bar food and small munchies. Our server Jacinta was really friendly , warm and knowledgeable about the drinks menu and gave excellent recommendation. The bartender also came into check on us and talked briefly about the menu .Overall ,I see a lot of visits here in my future and already cant wait to go back and try... Read moreI reserved Abigail Hall for my daughter's bridal shower this past weekend, and it was everything I could have hoped for and more. From the very start, Katherine, the events coordinator, was wonderful to work with—she was incredibly helpful and made the planning process seamless. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, with elegant decor that meant we didn’t need to bring in any additional decorations, making setup incredibly easy.
Once the event began, the service was outstanding. The bartender, who was truly exceptional, was friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Everyone raved about his service throughout the event. We even had a small mishap with our 3-year-old niece, and the staff handled it quickly and graciously, making it feel as though nothing had happened. Their professionalism and kindness did not go unnoticed.
The cocktails were delightful, the tea was perfectly brewed, and the food was fantastic. We ordered additional charcuterie boards and shrimp cocktail, all of which were beautifully presented and delicious. At the end of the event, the staff kindly boxed up the remaining food for us to take home, which we greatly appreciated.
I would highly recommend Abigail Hall for any event. The combination of a beautiful venue, exceptional staff, and top-notch service made it an unforgettable experience. I’m already looking forward to returning for a high tea...
