Our first time in this place (since we are attending a conference) and there were fruit flies all over the ketchup dispenser and later around our sandwiches once we sat down to eat. The food quality was terrible; what they call sourdough bread is not it at all, the chicken burger did not taste like chicken, and they added so much salt on their fries that they were not even edible and went directly into the trash can (what a waste of ingredients yet we didn’t complain or anything). We paid for our order and got some tap water in paper cups with the same brand as their drink dispenser printed on it and sat down to eat only to have the woman behind the counter come to the door and yell at us in front of everyone that we didn’t pay for our drinks to which we explained it was just tap water (which is free). Instead of saying oh ok enjoy your low quality food, she proceeded to tell us that we have to pay for the paper cups with an attitude which we are pretty sure are given to businesses for free since they were next to the drink dispenser of the same brand. She charged us 80 cents for the paper cups and we gave her $1 to hopefully satisfy her penny pinching behavior. There is no need to yell about some measly 80 cents when we paid $20 for our order and got some room temperature water! First of all, if we wanted to run off not paying for your precious paper cups, we wouldn’t sit outside your store where you could see us!! Second, tap water is free everywhere including other cafes we went in this city. Third, if you are trying to make money from the cups provided by the company that you sell their soda, at least be polite and ask nicely instead of insulting people who are respectable and making a scene in front of other customers and trying to embarrass us… Never coming back and hope we don’t sick from eating this low quality food with added protein from all the...
Read moreThe food is mediocre at best and the prices are pretty high for what you get. Burgers are meh and cost as much as the most expensive Burgerville burger from down the street 2 blocks. Their staple dish, chicken teriyaki is more expensive than a large portion from the Green Zebra next door, and Green Zebra is better. My biggest problem with them is that they charge $1.00 for a can of soda.
The only saving grace is breakfast croissants. Those are not terrible and not overpriced like most other food in there. If it weren't for those, this would...
Read moreI cannot speak to the food, but avoid the coffee here. As a test, I got an espresso and an Americano.
The espresso was thin, over extracted, and just plain bad.
The Americano was, somehow, worse. First, it was served at mouth scorching temperature. I had to wait for it to cool some. This tasted like coffee flavored water, not an Americano. There is no texture, no real flavor except over roasted coffee.
I've heard good things about the food, so consider it for that, but I'd avoid the espresso bar if at...
