We take all our out-of-town visitors here. Delicious egg sandwiches with the local flavor of Pioneer Square. This past Saturday we treated our nephew to gourmet egg sandwiches from a food truck, something he's not seen in the Midwest (gourmet anything from a food truck). As we sat waiting in the shade upon chairs provided by IKEA, we listened to the dulcet sounds of the city... the gentle fluttering chorus of coos and clucks of the city pigeons was layered with tinny christian music emanating from a box truck parked in the center of the square. The band was promoting something called Heaven to Earth and its members all stood sweating, crammed in the open box save the drummer, who somehow earned a spot on the paver bricks where he could at least feel the breeze. All of this was punctuated by the shrieks of a woman doing her best to evade a small fleet of security personnel bedecked in bright yellow vests... She came around Starbucks from the North, wailed a hasty retreat, then cut straight through the center of everything, pausing her screams just long enough to hurl an insult toward the box truck full of Christians... Ah, Portland in the summer! Anyway, the sandwiches were the bomb. Can't wait until our next visitors give us another excuse to dine here again! If you're eating it on the road I recommend passing on the delicious pesto... it gets oily and messy to eat. However, if you have the time to sit and eat with a pile of napkins at hand the pesto is well worth the mess!

Fried Egg I'm in Love is a food truck in Portland that serves delicious egg sandwiches with a variety of flavors and ingredients. I stumbled upon it on my first day here for breakfast and ended up going back two more times during my stay. The sandwiches they offer are unique and flavorful, with options for different portions and veggies. Each sandwich I tried had its own distinct taste, and they were all incredibly satisfying. One thing to note is that it's not the quickest option for a meal; I typically waited between 10 to 15 minutes for my order to be ready. However, the wait was well worth it once I took a bite of their sandwiches. If you're in Portland and looking for a tasty breakfast or brunch spot, I highly recommend checking out Fried Egg I'm in Love. The quality of their sandwiches and the variety of flavors make it a memorable dining experience in the city.

This is a must stop spot when in Portland. I grabbed the “smells like protein spirit” with smashed pork sausage and added aioli. The bread is toasted perfectly, the fried egg, is delicious AND the egg is cooked to textbook standards. A slightly gooey egg - a few napkins needed - but not overly saturating your hands in yolk. It’s absolutely divine. When I go back I will ask for the aioli to be only on the bread that touches the egg so the gooey yolk and elevated mayo dance to make the perfect sauce. Both sides of the sandwich with aioli was a little over powering at times. Each bite was an overall delight. Never too greasy, the bread stayed nice and toasted, no soggy bottom — and I even walked 10 min back to my hotel. Ordered two sandwiches with a few modifications and the total was $17 bucks. Fair prices and wonderful breakfast.

Amazing food truck nested along Hawthorne bringing mouthwatering breakfast sandwiches. I've had Eggslut and thought it was decent, but Fried Egg I'm In Love is making me question that past experience as the sandwiches here blew Eggslut's away.

While waiting in line, a nice gentleman walked by with another person looking at the menu, He mentioned "you have to get the recommended add-ons" and walked away. I'm still not sure if he was talking to his pal or to my friend and I waiting in line. Felt like some sort of NPC interaction where we didn't skip through the dialogue - other friends who ordered ahead missed out on this wonderful advice.

Now that I mentioned the add-ons, I will note that I'm not sure I necessarily agree with the prices (so little caramelized onions for $1.5) but the amount they use pairs so perfectly with the sandwich that I figure they've mastered the art of balancing their ingredients. Despite the price, I still recommend following the food truck's recommendations.

Now onto the food - I was conflicted between the Yolko Zeppelin or the Egg Zeppelin. Ended up opting for the latter because it includes two slices of cheddar cheese for less price (I think because the Yolko Zeppelin's sauces). Both have two sausages and two eggs. I'm happy with my decision though I'm absolutely certain I would have enjoyed the Yolko Zeppelin just as much.

The sandwich is just so soft, fluffy, and melts in your mouth. It's completely fresh and pulls apart so nicely, especially with the cheese. Be prepared for some mess though, unless you're a perfect eater. Not much else to say - I was blown away by Fried Egg I'm In Love and now I'm in love with this place. Too bad I'd have to drive 5+ hours from...

Great breakfast spot to experience the Portland Food Truck seen. That have fantastic ingredients and all sandwiches are made on perfectly toasted sourdough bread. My wife and I split the Yolko Zeppelin and the free range against the machine (add bacon). These sandwiches were loaded with flavor and they came out hot and fresh. We woke up early to walk down to Pioneer Courthouse location, and I am glad we did because after we grabbed our breakfast sandwiches, about 20-25 people showed up to get in line! Their breakfast sausage is the some of the best sausage I have ever had! It paired perfectly with the aeoli sauce and pesto on the Yolko Zeppelin. This place was so good, on our oregon coast vacation, we stopped to have it on our way back to Denver and it was just as good! The only reason the atmosphere and service are 4 stars is because they spray down the pioneer courthouse area every morning and there wasn't much seating available but you could still experience the downtown Portland scene, and because they forgot to add meat to our breakfast sandwich when we visited the second time. I highly recommend this place for grab and go sandwich convenience with handcrafted -Chef inspired sandwiches....
