Unpretentious, fresh, and delicious sushi in a cozy, intimate space. The flavors, quality and freshness of the fish in conjunction with the perfectly seasoned sushi rice makes for mouthwatering morsels. The price is also very reasonable compared to other spots in the area. Service is attentive and friendly. Try the tempura here! You won’t regret it. Fried to a crispy perfection. When I am craving something hot and savory, I love getting their spicy seafood champon noodle soupsogood. Will be back soon Mio, thank you!
Updating with some photos from my recent dine in! I LOVED the Bubble Bubble Roll (ikura and lemon wedge garnished roll). As always, appreciated the consistency of fresh fish and unique selection of rolls. I also tried the Aji Mackeral, a local special, and it was so fresh and tasty! Usually not a huge fan of mackeral, but the aji mackeral had a light, clean taste and I loved the ponzu drizzle. The special also came with the fried part of the fish and we made sure to eat everything...
Read moreThe sushi is okay as I’ve eaten here many times as a local in a couple of the Mio locations. It’s acceptable, didn’t make me sick and had a humble dining atmosphere. In regards to price, for the area it is on the mid to high ticket.

If this establishment is either (1) too lazy to build the request into the order (2) doesn’t care or (3) both; no one should be eating from the restaurant. Detail is important and Mio clearly expressed that someone did not care. 🤷🏻♀️
Be aware that detail is important and should be valued as equally as the qualify...
Read moreThis is one of the best sushi places if you want decently priced, well made sushi! I highly recommend it for any sushi lovers, I have been going here consistently ever since I've discovered it. The rolls are honestly my favorite from any place in Portland and I always enjoy having a meal from here.
EDIT: We went for happy hour one day during the week instead of taking out as usual and the dine in service was surprisingly not to the standard we expected. The waiter took the wrong order of what we ordered and then blamed it on us for telling her the wrong thing (why would a customer order one thing and say they wanted something else?), so that was a bit annoying. Besides that though, the sushi was great as always and still highly recommend for...
