Collett Country Store and Johnny's BBQ — Restaurant in Powder Springs

I always like to leave a review no matter good or bad and I’m so disappointed to have to leave a bad review. Just moved to the area in November and have driven by multiple times. From the outside it is that kind of place that intrigues you. Last night my husband and I both wanted barbecue and what better time than to try Johnnys. We love barbeque so much we even had it catered at our sons recent rehearsal dinner. Walking in there is a lot to catch your eye. The restaurant did seem clean and if you are looking to purchase anything from boots to jeans to knives it’s here. We both ordered the pork plate which came with fries. He ordered sweet potato fries and I regular. Neither of our fries were crisp but lay limp on the plate. The barbecue was very vinegar tasting and really just had no Smokey flavor at all. Our waitress was personable and attentive but we go for good food. I’m sorry but we with everything this area has to offer we will not be going back here. Very disappointed I couldn’t leave a better review.

It would have been a better visit had our waitress actually took the time to take care of our table. Instead she spent time at a table that was sat 10 minutes after us because she knew them. She came with our food and went back to their table multiple times getting them refills and extra items that they were asking for. We sat waiting to see if we could get a refill (our 1st and only) and when she finally came she asked what we would like and we just took them to go. After we told her what our drinks were she stopped at the table that she was spending so much time at and went and got them something and took it to them and then only returned with two of our drinks. She couldn't remember our other two drinks. We had to tell her what they were again. Not good business practice. Just because you know someone doesn't mean that the customer that you don't know deserves less attention than those that you do know. This drives away your business. When asked if we've ever visited here I will definitely share our experience. It has been several years since we have been and now I remember why. I'm not asking for 5- star food or service, but a little good service would have brought me back a little sooner since the food was...

Steak looked Pink, ask waitress to take it off the check and we would pay for everything else it came with, Fries, Salad, etc.. The RUDE Owner Comes to our table with the plate of steak, telling us it's not pink and shines his phone light on it. I have never been confronted by an owner in such a rude Manner in my life! I let the waitress that also said the steak is pink, know i was going to write a review, she runs and tells the owner so he RUDLY and HATEFULLY confronts me and treats me like dirt under his feet! He Says some really Crappy things! Prices are way too high and the food isn't worth it! If you go to this place i suggest you make no complaints because apparently the owner thinks he's all that and has a major disrespect for women. After all that and the way we got treated, he trully thought he did us a huge favor and we should kiss his feet because he took the steak off the check!
