The employees in this store need to learn how to treat their customers and when to back the hell off. My sister and I are residents of Truro, I myself work at Cuffy's right down the street, we have bought a lot of stuff from this store. We were in town one day and wanted to see if we should buy one of the portable chargers in this store. We went in and my sister compared her charger to theirs to see whether or not she wanted to buy it, she decided she didn't because hers had more voltage, so we didn't buy it and we left. We walked down the street to get ice cream, we got our ice cream and walked out only to be bombarded by employees of this store, telling us, "we have to bring you back to the store our security footage shows you stealing something". My sister and I looked at eachother and neither of us stole anything so we just said "okay so we're fine we didnt take anything they'll just check our bags and we can leave." Nope. When we got into the store there were two employees at the register and two following us from behind. One of them at the register seemed to be the manager or something, he told my sister they had security footage of her stealing a $2.99 keychain. She told them she didn't and that they could check her bag, then she handed them her bag. They didn't even seem interested in checking her bag, and they never did. They just showed her the footage and accused her of taking it. She admitted that it looked bad but then she calmly explained why, and what she was doing. She told them she was comparing her charger to theirs, decided not to buy it and then put her charger back into her bag. The keychain she was accused of stealing was in a box right next to the chargers. Though after she explained why it looked bad, they wouldn't let us go, and the man who seemed to be the boss kept saying "no you stole it!" So finally my sister put down her debit card and told them she would pay however much it was so that we could just leave. And the man said "okay it's $20!". My sister rightfully so thought that was excessive and absurd to make her pay $20 for a $2.99 keychain she didn't even take. So she took back her debit card. That's when they man said, "okay if you don't pay then I call the police." That's when my sister started getting scared and started to cry, but remained calm and stook up for herself. The guy has a phone in his hand and meanwhile my sister's just saying, "I'm a registered nurse, I work hard to make money, why would I need to steal a keychain, check my bag I don't have it!" It finally started to end when another woman working their tried to tell the guy that she obviously didn't have this keychain and she was just going to charge her for $5.00 and she could leave. So my sister said okay and we left. She was so shooken up, like anyone undoubtedly would be, to be accused of something you didn't do and to have the police be threatened against you for a damn keychain, it's unnecessary and stupid. Whoever that man was should not be working there and because of him this store just lost...
Read morePLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. THEY ARE SO RUDE. I WILL NOT BE COMING BACK.
I saw other people had similar experiences, but unfortunately, I decided to give it a chance anyway. My friends and I were in Provincetown and stopped by to get some merch. While browsing the sale sweatshirts, I looked through just a few itemsâcarefullyâand even took the time to fold them back neatly so I wouldnât create a mess.
Despite that, both owners (or staff) came up to me and told me to stop looking because I was âmaking a mess.â I explained that I had only gone through a couple and was putting everything back properly. They insisted I should just âlook without touchingâ because it was too hard for them to refold the items.
I completely understand if I had truly made a mess or been carelessâbut that wasnât the case at all. Their attitude was uncalled for and made the entire experience incredibly uncomfortable. There are so many kind and welcoming shops in Provincetownâthis is not one of them. Save yourself the bad energy and...
Read moreRead this review. I bought a sweatshirt and T-shirt that has the regular cape cod printing and a whale on both. I washed the T-shirt (and dried it) and the letters and whale peeled after the first washing- BUT when the owner found out and said to me that he 100% wanted to make things right and apologized for the bad lot of tshirts - which I bought one of. He sent me the next day a new Tshirt that didnt have the problem as the first one and he inlcuded a box of salt water taffy. He handled the...
