Upon arriving the exterior is welcoming and so is the interior of the restaurant. However I and the party in front of me had to wait about 2 minutes for the hostess to greet us but I was okay with that, I complemented the pretty dyed hair she has but she didn't thank me and had a small chat with a seeming friend of hers who had matching hair as I was taken to my table. It was late in the afternoon mid week and the restaurant did not seem busy. Amanda was friendly when she took my drink order but when I ordered the cheese dip and received it, I felt the about half a cup of cheese was not appropriate for the $9 price point it is at so I gently pushed it aside to ask it to be taken back to the kitchen. This was an attempt to have a special day after a very tragic experience I've had and was wanting to have a good day at a reason cost for dishes. When I told Amanda politely I wanted to return the dip because of the portion size she stated that she would get a manager to bring it back, I apologized repeatedly but was not companied with an "it's alright" or an "I understand" of any kind, just a condescending side eye. I already felt very sorry to even ask to return it. The manager came out and was very polite to me at first and just wanted to know why I wanted to return it, but when my company told her because of the portion size reasoning she replied with, "but isn't this what you ordered?" And also asked if I do this at other restaurants I attend. This was disappointing to me because both of us work at restaurants and live in a county with higher tax and cost of living but never have issues at local county restaurants with portion size according to cost. I took over the conversation that my upset partner was having with the manager after their exchange but just wish that the wording of the conversation was different on her end as a customer service provider, especially as a manager, as the escalation could have been avoided. When having a personal conversation with my partner about the escalation he stated the service was bad, and Amanda the waitress overheard and intervened and yelled at my partner for the statement he made, in front of her other tables. We were cashed out by a third employee who kept her composure more properly but as I was crying upset about the exchange that happened with the wait staff she asked if I was okay "because I seem really upset about the queso" when any typical observer would know it was about the treatment of us as customers who just wanted to enjoy a shared entree and not overpay for an underserved appetizer. The cheese dip was comped and I hoped to leave a $10 tip as an apology for feeling like a bad customer as they portrayed us to be but my partner took it off the table behind me as we left the establishment. I understand times are hard for a lot of people as well as businesses after recovering from COVID but I expected the request to take back an untouched appetizer to be no issue as the paying customer should always be right. I'm giving my empathy to the business here by leaving a decent star rating but I was very shaken by my experience here with the service and a threat to call law enforcement was made by the manager when both the untouched entree (after the exchange occurred) and appetizer was asked to be taken back and comped due to being unsatisfied customers. I have worked at restaurants where customers eat their meal and refuse to pay after a common incident such as a Presto machine not processing payment happened and the restaurant did not threaten law enforcement, but tried to serve the customer in the best manner. I just wish the whole experience was different and we were valued as much as any other paying customer. I still took the entree and paid...

Walked in was told a 10-15 min wait ,host forgot about me and my wife so..I approached the male host after 20 min while a little confused why other people who had not waited got seated before I and my wife, asked the male host about the 10-15 min wait he then proceeded to walk us to our table while saying he forgot about us....NOT a good 1st impression.when arriving at our table I and my wife were approached by a waitress IMMEDIATELY I might add she asked what we were having to drink , I asked her where the menu was that showed us our drink options she immediatly went to the mixed alcoholic drinks and had menus for several mixed drinks I said that we would not be having any alcoholic drinks and asked again where the menu was that we could choose non alcoholic drinks the waitress said there is none and spouted out a few drinks like tea, coke, and water....confused ....I asked do you have sweet tea? Her eyes rolled back in her head and very impatiently answered of course we do. I then ordered sweet tea.the waitress then asked my wife what she was having to drink my wife said well...if you don't have anything except tea, coke and water to choose from I will take coke.the waitress said ok,then left. The waitress then brought our drinks back to the table very quickly that we ordered. She preceded to ask us what we were going to have to eat this evening? Mind you we had been at the table for no more than 8 minutes from the time we were seated .I said that we were still looking at the menu and needed more time to decide ,AGAIN the waitress rolled her eyes in the back of her head and said ok,took a deep sigh and said she would be back then walked off,at this point I was feeling extremely rushed and I knew that we had a very impatient waitress a few more minutes past and she returned saying are you ready to order now ?I answered and said my wife is however I have a few questions. she took my wife's order and when asked what my order was I asked her about item#12 she answered my question and I changed my selection to #13 due to not wanting a deep fried taco and not being offered a soft taco i wanted without being charged an additional 99 cents as stated on the menu.while completing my #13 order she again rolled her eyes and left to place our order. Our order arrived and well I will tell you after requesting the female manager on 03-16-2019 and bringing to her attention about everything I and my wife experienced this evening and telling the manager I was an are supervisor over a multi million dollar food chain as well as a United States Army veteran honorably discharged the mgrs response was very POOR in my professional opinion while my ticket was said by the manager to have included a Veteran discount there was nothing done about any of my complaints and nothing done about the tostada that was soggy or the waitress much less how I and my wife were forgotten in the first place or how we were rushed by the waitress or the rude behaviour if the waitress. After this experience I would advise the owners to teach patience and kindness to the waitress and teach the manager that the customer is the one that helps supplies money for there paycheck and when there is a complaint of this magnitude not to brush it off with a smile and a Veteran discount.I did leave the waitress a 2.26 tip after all she did bring the food to the table and the sweet tea and coke. By the way supply a menu for non alcoholic drinks as well and stop having your waitresses push alcoholic drinks on your customers. My clientele and US Veterans will be told of this experience......Good luck with having any of that business in your...

I don't frequent many restaurants because they all order the same products from the same suppliers and all the food tastes exactly the same. NOT the Cactus Flower!!!! I'm not sure if all their food is freshly made, but everything my wife and I ordered was fresh, seasoned well, hot, and delivered in a timely manner.

The only reason we went to Cactus Flower was because our realtor had given us a $50 gift card. I was VERY surprised.

From the beginning, our experience was good. Our waitress seated us and offered us drinks and brought us some free house tortilla chips and the BEST salsa you've ever tasted in your life. I ordered a frozen Margarita and my wife ordered raspberry tea. BOTH were exceptional.

After the prompt arrival of our drinks, we placed our order with the very polite server. I ordered Tacos Bistek with beans and rice. My wife ordered steak fajitas with beans and rice.

While we looked around and critiqued everything, the waitresses were BUSY the whole time. They weren't standing around chatting, glued to their phones, or any other mundane thing. When they were not serving customers, they were wiping down chairs & tables (the WHOLE chair & the WHOLE table), the salt and pepper shakers, the booths, etc. I hope the wait staff is paid a good & fair wage because they were all making Cactus Flower look good.

We observed for about 20 minutes before our food arrived. Our orders arrived piping hot with a warning from our server so we didn't burn ourselves. I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted my wife's steak fajitas. Fresh, cooked to perfection, seasoned to perfection, and piping hot. It was delicious.

I asked the waitress for some of their awesome salsa for my tacos and she brought me another dish. I bit into the best taco I've had in ages. Yes, even though I may get beaten if my wife ever reads this, the tacos were way better than hers and she's a great cook. We stuffed ourselves.

They need to have their carpet cleaned more often, but other than that, the place was very clean, kid friendly, and reasonably priced. The food was GREAT and now that I've tried it, I will definitely be back. Our bill came out to about $64 because we added sopapillas & I asked to buy a pint of their salsa to bring home. I tipped the waitress $20 so for $84.00, we were able to eat a delicious meal, in a nice environment, with friendly & respectful staff and feel good about it.

Thank you Cactus Flower staff, we...
