Before this place was taken over by new management under a franchise, it was amazing. I feel super bad that I didn't leave a review before because they truly deserved a 5 star with how much my husband and I ate there. Now that it is under new management, it is completely soulless. Just an empty room with zero decor, a couple of super uncomfortable tables squished together and the place smells weird. They took away the drink fountain, so when we ordered and asked for water, we got room temperature water with no ice on a 90 degree day. The food is more expensive now and their lunch special gives you less than before, which I understand prices going up in this economy, but the amount you get is also less. The food was not bad by any means, but it was not as good as it was before changing owners and definitely not worth the price. I legitimately just hated being in the restaurant. The place actually sucks now. At least put the tv that played kpop back...right now there's NOTHING on the walls besides two advertisements for the Fukumi app. It's really sad to have a place that was so awesome...
Read moreIâm changing my review as this ownership changed. They did a remodel that looks bad compared to the old place. It actually looks smaller and there is less room for the dining area so iâm closer to people while eating. They started charging for noodles and other stuff that didnât charge for before. They drastically raised their prices(used to be 16 bucks for a 2 entree but the same one is 19.00 if you want noodles now). The portions are smaller. They removed the drink fountain and charge you for cans of soda or serve you room temperature water unless you buy the bottled water. They charge for sauce now as well. They didnât even sauce the katsu like they normally do and then charge you for extra sauce. The food was good but they added a lot more cabbage to the noodles now and give you a lot less noodles when charging you for it. Diabolical work.
They ruined this place for me and I donât recommend it to anyone anymore. I used to go every week. i will not be going again Iâve rarely been more offended by an ownership change. If ownership is reading this: I canât believe you did this....
Read moreMy husband and I were visiting my parent's place in Rancho Cordova, and needed a quick bite. Teriyaki Grill seemed new and I decided to give it a try, and surely didn't disappoint me. I love teriyaki and have tried multiple locations around Sacramento and also in Bay Area, but I would say this place is the far most the best teriyaki joint ever! I had the chicken teriyaki with yakisoba noodles. My husband had the spicy pork with rice. All foods were cooked to perfection with right amount of "Grill" flavor on the meats. The sauce was also on point, not too sweet or not too salty. The portions are HUGE also.
The place is new so inside the restaurant was super clean. The employees had great customer service which was a super plus.
I will definitely come back whenever I visit my parent's house. Keep it up Teriyaki Grill!
P.S: Speaking with the owner, the 1st original location of Teriyaki Grill is in the Arden fair mall right next to Mikuni. Definitely a place to visit after a wild shopping at...
