Last night, my wife, our friends, and I had the pleasure of dining at Cornelio's Steak House, and it was an evening that left us thoroughly impressed. From the moment we entered, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly, setting the stage for what would be a great dinner.
The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the Tomahawk steak, a delicious and perfectly cooked steak that had us all in amazement with every bite. The sharing aspect added an extra layer of enjoyment as we savored the flavors together. Equally delightful was the halibut dish my wife opted for, showcasing the restaurant's prowess in seafood as well.
Accompanying our mains were the sides, each one a small masterpiece in its own right. From the creamy mashed potatoes to the seasonal vegetables, every component was prepared with care and attention to detail, adding depth and texture to the meal.
While the cuisine stole the show, there were a few minor areas for improvement. The decor, while elegant, could benefit from some adjustments. The abundance of light filtering through the windows detracted slightly from the ambiance, and dimming them could create a cozier atmosphere, enhancing the dining experience.
What sets Cornelio's Steak House apart is its status as a local gem. This is not a chain steak house; it's a proud establishment that with time will be deeply rooted in the community if we all support it. Supporting local businesses like Cornelio's is not only a way to enjoy exceptional cuisine but also a means of contributing to the vibrancy and diversity of our neighborhood.
Nevertheless, the attentive service and overall atmosphere of Cornelio's Steak House made for a memorable evening. It's clear that the team here is dedicated to providing guests with a top-notch dining experience, and we look forward to returning to savor more of their culinary creations in the future.
Best of luck with your Steak House and we'll see...
Read moreI wanted to share our experience at Cornelio’s steak house on 11/12.
My wife and I have done the Flemming’s, Ruth’s Chris, Morton’s trio of steak houses. All good.
Celebrating our 17 year anniversary , she wanted to try a different steak house. She sent me the reviews and I made a reservation.
We arrived a little early and were a little skeptical when we walked inside. And by that I mean the visual of the tables, bar… the overall vibe.
Looking at the menu online, I knew this would not be a $25 dinner and I guess I am guilty of equating entree price with atmosphere, service, drink selection… etc. And at first glance it was not what we expected and not in a good way.
We decided to share the Tomahawk steak… medium rare. And now forget my previous comments. We both agreed it was probably one of the best if not THE best cuts of meat we have ever eaten… cooked to a perfect medium rare and the last bite just as good as the first bite. We also overheard similar comments from other tables.
Cornelio, chef and owner, made his way to our table and asked how we liked our meal… always a nice touch.
The restaurant has been open less than two weeks and with a little fine tuning on the optics and drink options, will be a great dining option for the area. It is also great to support a privately owned restaurant as well. We WILL return and enjoy the Tomahawk steak once again.
Best of luck to...
Read moreMy husband and I came to Cornelius for a birthday celebration. Party of about 15.We were early so we decided to have a glass of wine while the rest of the guests arrived. We walked through the door and we were greeted by a rude hostess/server (a lady with reddish hair, name possibly Elizabeth) We had stated we were there for a birthday celebration, we we early and if we could go to the bar for a glass of wine?. She stated the table isn’t even set up yet, she’s the bartender too and she needed to also take her break. I was surprised with this response, looked at my husband and said let’s go somewhere else. We work in healthcare and were surprised & disappointed in the lack of customer service. She had indicated she was leaving about 3/4 of the way through dinner but was still there when we left. We had ordered the lamb and steak which was undercooked. The fashion the order was taken was unusual. We placed entree order first then sides second. The person helping the main waitress was much more helpful & kind. The ambiance is nice. I believe this restaurant has potential with some...
