After waiting and waiting - Anthony’s Mediterranean Bar and Grill finally opened in Redding CA. My wife and I were glad to see it open and made are first (of many Im sure) visit. As soon as we entered we were warmly greeted by the owner, Amin. His smile is infectious! Amin showed us to a nice table near the front window and introduced us to our server that evening. We ordered a few drinks - my go to Sierra Nevada on tap and my wife ordered a very nice Cab. The restaurant was maybe half full (we got there early - before 6PM). The atmosphere is both warm and open. Very nice and bright as well. We ordered an appetizer. Tough choice, there are some classic mediterranean starters. We went with the Babaganoug & Pita. The dish was excellent - the babaganoug was smooth and creamy with a nice rich flavor and it paired well with the homemade pitas. For dinner I went with the Mixed Grill - a tasty combination of lamb, chicken and kafta kabobs with some grilled veggies and some delicious rice on the side. The meats were perfectly grilled and each on was flavorful and delicious. My wife went for the Greek Salad with Chicken. The salad was a classic Greek style - chunky cucumbers, course chopped tomatoes and greek olives over fresh romaine. The chicken was grilled - kabob style (without the skewer ;-) Topped with a bit of feta cheese and tangy lemon/oregeno dressing. My wife said it was one of the best she has ever had. In the end we were both nicely full, happy belly’s and glad Anthonys is now open. We will be returning soon (and again and again LOL)

I was so excited when Anthony's opened up this downtown location. I regularly get their lamb gyros from The Greek Shack down the street from my office & love that they now have a venue with inside dining & cocktails. The food is amazing (@ least once a week I get the craving for a gyro from them). This downtown location offers a full bar (you NEED to try the Whiskey Sour!) & a private banquet room for meetings & events.

A generous happy hour and a nice place for dinner. I was not super impressed with the beef kabob plate nor the portion size, however, everything was still very tasty. The happy hour has a great discount and good selection of their dishes. They also have an extensive bar. The bartender/waitress was very kind and attentive. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the mood for Greek food!

The food at Anthony’s is great, but the service we experienced was terrible. We DoorDashed a lamb gyro and a falafel wrap, but only the lamb gyro was delivered and that was all that was on the receipt. I called the restaurant and spoke to Stacie R (the server who is listed on the receipt as well) and she stated “yeah only the lamb gyro was on the order”. I told her I had paid for both. She said she’d take another look, and that this was her first door dash order, she’s just the bartender, she’s working alone and she obviously didn’t make the order.

She then saw the whole order and stated they’d make the falafel wrap and asked me if I was going to come get it or if DoorDash is on their way to get it. I told her I don’t know how DoorDash works and since it wasn’t their fault, we’d come get it.

We were so unimpressed with her lack of customer service and all of the excuses she made. She didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience or the mess up. An apology...

Overall good experince. Service was spot on and we ordered and recieved our food quickly. Waitress was very attentive. GREEK salad was tasty and fresh I had the chicken gyro which wad very good. Wife had the lamb gyro. She felt parts of the meat was not cooked enough. The one thing we both had to give a big thumbs down on was the falafa balls. Not what we are use to. having ate them in many different restuarants. No taste and extremely dry and small. We want to go back though and try the kabobs. I also had a tap beer which...
