My friend recommended Anthony's and the food was awesome! We ordered the sampler starter and got 3/4 of the way through it before I realized I should have taken a picture of the pretty presentation lol..Everything was fresh and delicious, especially the falafel. I ordered the chicken kabobs and they were tender and the garlic sauce/toom that came with was very tasty!! My friend ordered the lamb kabobs. Although they have good flavor unfortunately, they were not quite tender enough for easy chewing, as he is an elderly gentleman. However, the waitress substituted the sliced lamb gyro meat for the kabobs, and the gyro was tender and perfectly cooked. My friend was happy with the substitution. The baklava was nice and crispy and not overly sweet. My friend ordered the gin and tonic, which was nice and strong. I ordered the bubbly, which was a perfect compliment to my meal. Overall, very satisfied both with the kitchen and the service!! I will definitely be returning next time...
Read moreWe paid $15 out of their food truck and it was terrible, I had wanted to go to this place for years. The look of food at the restaurant doesn't value the food truck and the "park" the price and value didn't match. Service was great atmosphere was made bad by the food because it was a food truck venue. We wish we had gone to any other place. They definitely overcharge at the "park" for all the food trucks but if you can't keep the same value trying to squeeze money out of people is terrible. It was all tortilla, weird cuts of strange chicken. I would not recommend the food truck. I got a gyro and my ole lady got the falafel wrap. We didn't take photos because we were throughly disappointed and really hungry, with final draft around the corner and the post office across the street id...
Read moreWell, today is the day after the wet heavy snow dump on Redding and I haven't had power since about 1am last night. So I waited until this afternoon to find someplace to get something to eat and Anthony's had power and was open. I have read about the restaurant in the local section of the newspaper and it was sounded good. And it was. They have their 8.99 gyro on sale for 5.99. I had the lamb gyro and the lentil soup (2.99) plus energy drink for less than 15 bucks. I hadn't eaten anything all day so obviously it was very good. But looking at their entree menu (lamb kabobs mmmm) I definitely want to go back and try some more dishes. Another customer was having the Greek salad and it looked delicious. All I can say is give this...
