Restaurant should be named Betos El Terrible Taqueria let’s start there….Went to get Mexican food for me and my mom from El Terrible, I ordered two Asada burritos no problem that come with rice and beans no problem. Got the in about 5 min after I sat down. Immediately starting eating in the car while parked in their lot.
1st bite I felt something cold I thought hmm maybe the salsa and kept eating til I noticed campbells chicken noodle type of things in the middle of the burrito so I picked a few out took pics then went inside and showed the pics and asked what that was, they said jack cheese but the texture was weird and it didn’t melt, I took a few bites them decided I couldn’t do it and definitely didn’t feel right bringing that back to my mom, I tasted the rice because I wanted a good taste in my mouth but that ended up being mushy rice they shldve thrown out. Couldn’t win with this place
I probably should’ve asked to speak with a manager, tell him about the food, asked for a refund and left but I just walked and before closing the car door I sat the food down on the white divider on the pavement and drove off..
il save the hassle of arguing for a refund, il take the loose of $31.xx and the the tip I gave and just gonna go to a spot that makes there...
Read moreThe food is O.K. not great by any means though. Perhaps if you really like food that is on the bland side. The staff leaves this vivid impression that they would be much less un-happy if you just went to another restaurant. The order taker appears to be recovering from a hang over but it might be possible to squeeze a smile out of him on a good day, the older woman who I think owns the place... she will certainly be less miserable if you eat elsewhere too. For some reason this place is always busy, so you have to wait for quite awhile to experience for yourself the lackluster service and not really very mexicany food.
3yrs later... I have to say that things have improved considerably. Not the kind you can tell just by glancing, but the significant ones like a friendlier staff. I don't notice any significant change in the food either but it is still good. Not great -I prefer a bit more pizazz with my mexican- still, this is a good choice if you are nearby. Can I change my stars? It has to be worth a solid three now. Nothing to gripe...

The staff are fine, not always too friendly, but they get the job done. If it's busy, don't forget to get everything you need the first time at the counter because you may not find it easy to get someone's attention once you sit down to eat. I'm not saying it's impossible but it can be challenging.
Parking can be a hassle, as the parking lot isn't big enough and parking on the street is often crowded. It's doable, just know that you may have to hunt around for a minute.
Be aware also that the bathroom is located outside, which isn't a big deal but it can be unpleasant, and doesn't feel real safe going out there at night, as the lighting isn't good.
Overall, I like Beto's, and from what I can tell, slot of other...
