My review is based on multiple visits to this location which have generally been good, but last night's visit was not normal. It seemed like I somehow upset the girl at the counter because when I asked if there was any chance I could have some of the roasted Chipotle salsa (since there was none at the bar) she was very short in her response and just said there was a shortage. I told her that the burrito I ordered came with that salsa inside but I usually get it on the side instead, and she kept referencing the shortage. She eventually gave me one small container which was fine, but when I realized the large side of chips and guacamole were missing (both were paid for as extras), I walked back over to the counter to ask. She ignored me for a few minutes before finally looking at me, and when I said the order of chips was missing she grabbed a small bag and threw it on the counter without looking at me. At this point I got irritated and started to get loud (since I was being talked over) until another employee came to check on what was happening. After she reviewed the receipt she noticed how much was missing from the bag and fixed it quickly. I have no idea what I did to cause the girl at the counter to be so irritated with me, but hopefully she was just having a rough night. My other visits have been fine and the food is always good, so I am hoping the next visit...
Read moreI sent in a mobile order while I was shopping that said it would be done at 3:00. I finished shopping early and waited in my car while watching the tracker since I was close by after I put my bags away. At 3:10 with no update to the tracker I decided to walk over and check on my food. The bag with my food was sitting in the mobile order area (I knew because it was the only bag) so I flagged down an employee to confirm. This woman literally did not speak to me once, no hello, no response to my order question just put the bag on the countet, and when I thanked her she walked away before I was done speaking. I had paid extra for extra pico and requested salsa with my tacos, none of which was in the bag. My food was also cold by the time I recieved it. I imagine it had been ready at the estimated time and no one could be bothered to update the tracker. I had also pretipped with my order. Genuinely disappointed as I had heard great things about Rubios but I won't be back, for sure at least to this location. Maybe train employees that at least acknowledging they're being spoken to is part of the guidelines. Only two stars because the tacos...

Accommodations: Separate fryer: No GF menu or labeling: No Staff knowledge: Fair Other notes: Staff were familiar with food allergy policies. Offered to my corn tortillas on a pan instead of the grill or on top of tinfoil to avoid cross-contamination. I asked them to change their gloves. They also shared their allergy cheat sheet with me. Beans and rice are gluten-free. The lime creama is also gluten-free.
What I ordered: Three grilled fish taco plate. I got two grilled mahi-mahi tacos. And one blackened salmon taco. With pinto beans and citrus rice.
Review: I’ve been here twice and both times I got different staff members who were familiar with food allergy policy even if they didn’t 100% understand what gluten was. Definitely felt more comfortable coming back here. And I love the fish tacos! Especially with limes and salsa. I did get salsa from the salsa bar which is probably questionable. I probably could’ve asked for it from the back in hindsight.
