Dude. Big time bummer. I don’t write bad reviews, like rarely. You really have to go out of your way to make the experience so low that I can’t justify it to a bad day for you. The arrival of food was spaced out by 20 minutes. My food after an hour and 10 minutes came out cold, even though they swear they brought it out as soon as it was ready from the kitchen. There is no way possible that was true btw. They did try to make it work on the check by waiving meals we didn’t even eat and offer to help but after an hour of waiting hungry nothing really makes sense. I made sure I wasn’t being out of line by writing this review and asked my group, who all have careers in food service for decades, and they all agreed that this was a terrible experience. When speaking with the manager they’re was a mix of lack of responsibility and trying to comp some of the meals. It just was too late and not impressive. I’m sorry to write this review. I was so hungry and ready for some delicious food. On a positive note, their fries are pretty good and the smashed potatoes came out hot. The esthetic was cool, but man… they could not have delivered a worse experience unless they talked down to us and made us feel unwelcome. I didn’t event eat the food and I hope to come back and have a chance to try their food which looks delicious. Please work on your Saturday brunch kitchen. We were not the only ones whom felt this way I could hear nearby tables discussing similar feelings on...

I was in the mood for a Corned Beef sandwich last night and I knew this restaurant finally opened. I invited a friend to join me. I was more than a bit disappointed! When we ordered I asked if they served Half Done Dill Pickles. One of the women behind the counter looked lost. Luckily the other one knew what I was talking about. We decided to do a little people watching on K Street and sat outside. The woman who had the deer in the headlights look brought our order. My friend ordered a salad and had to ask if it had dressing on it. The woman said it was and offered to bring more. She said she would check back with us in a few minutes. (That never happened. Last time we saw her was as she was walking out the door. As for mr, I looked at mine, tasted a bite of coleslaw and a super hard bagel chip. I didn't touch the sandwich because it was Pastrami not Corned Beef! I took it back and had it corrected. Later on, it became evident that the lettuce was wet when it was tossed and the dressing was weak. My friend had to get more. When we were done the server asked if we needed a box. We said yes. She walked off to get it andnever returned. I had to get it. My sandwich was good, my friends salad was good (with more dressing). So I am giving them a 4 for the sandwich and a 1 for the salad and service. I have been to some of the best delicatessens in America and unfortunately this is not one of them. Will I go...

Yummy in my tummy and the price was right, and the welcoming service was a true blessing these days. I went the morning after I had horrible service at the butcher & barrel place across the street. It felt good to feel welcomed, & the prices are so reasonable. I loved the music but it was on replay so & they didn't have too many songs on the track & it replayed the same songs over & over way too often. But, I love George Benson, & I can always listen to any of his stuff over & over. I enjoyed myself & I ate outside that morning. The weather was beautiful this last weekend, so that added to the ambience. I was there on Saturday morning, January 27th 2024. I was the first one to sit outside that morning & I sorta over stayed my welcome, but never felt any negative vibes from any of the waitress' bc of it. Hardly anyone was there when I got there to eat, but when I left, there was a line of people. Sorry for taking up so much time @ my table, I just so enjoyed sitting outside on the street, listening to George Benson & wishing I was 30 years younger again. Never thought I'd ever get old enough to wish I was that many years younger, but I did, & it was in a " blink of an eye" that I got here.. Thank you Solomon's, you restored my faith in being welcomed in a restaurant. You guys saw me & I realized I wasn't as invisible as some have treated me. I recommend Solomon's and will DEFINITELY...

I had the corned beef sandwich. It was delicious and fast. The staff was friendly despite seeming busy. I'd come back a couple times week.. If I could afford it. $22 with tip for lunch is way outta my league. Too bad! It was really good. Update: I came here with a couple of friends. They were wearing their construction vests and received an awesome discount for being "in uniform". I asked a week later if they had a military discount. The cashier seemed surprised I'd asked, but reluctantly gave me a neighborhood discount. Came back a few weeks later, stayed in my construction attire and received no discount. My friend asked and the cashier said they'd never heard of it. I don't expect a discount... But at least be consistent. Still tasty. But probably won't return. Update 2: Came again, for variety. I paid $18 for a tiny sandwich, a little bowl of old looking and tasting coleslaw and a diet Coke. Why did I come again? No idea.. And... A response that's condescending! Wow. This $18 bite(literally) was the recommended fried Chicken sandwich. And it was nothing to write home about. Oh well, there's plenty of other options downtown!

In terms of friendliness I would say they are a rocking 9/10 when you walk in. But after that I found that I was left sitting for a rather long time before anyone really approached us to take our drink orders and then we sat even longer before anyone came to take our food orders and then after that we were kind of just left without a single check up. The Japanese style fried chicken sandwich. The presentation alone is pretty okay. Looks like a solid sandwich. Aside from the pile of grease that was left on my plate Looks like the sauce ratio was on point. We got a side of fries with it. The fries are okay leave a lot to be desired but still okay. All together I would say if their prices were a little lower maybe they'd be worth it. But honestly, you could get everything that they offer here anywhere else at a better quality, better flavor and a better price. Service - 2/5 Food- 3/5 Cost- 2/5

I started writing this before I even got my food. The vibes here are IMMACULATE. From the host/hostesses that greeted us to the runners who brought our food out, everyone was so kind and funny and personable. We ordered the whipped herb cream cheese everything bagel, special pizza of the day (margherita) and blueberry lavender mimosas. The price is amazing for the quality of the food. The bagels are made in house and have the most wonderful, chewy crumb. The pizza was topped with fresh basil and had a luxurious and chewy but light and crispy crust. Shout out to Jack. Our server Emily was also amazing. Super attentive and came to check on us through our meal but not annoying (you know what I mean?). We absolutely loved chatting with her. She was hilarious and so so nice. Can't wait to come back to town because we will definitely come straight back here.
