Highly disappointed :/ Placed a phone order and asked if they had Lion King roll. I was told they did, so I ordered a Lion King roll and a CA Roll. I went to pick up the order and was initially shocked at the price. $33 for 2 rolls. I asked for the itemized receipt and saw the Lion King roll was $22. My immediate thought was what the… but.. I had already ordered it and didn’t want to make a fuss. I decided to be cool. I was good until I got home and opened my order. I received a CA Roll and something I have never saw/have no clue about. I was immediately sadden because it was RAW and I don’t eat raw fish. $22 wasted. I called a friend to help me figure out what they gave me and he didn’t know, but advised I bake it to cook it. I started doing so and realized there wasn’t even all salmon on top of the roll like a Lion King roll is supposed to have 😭 FML. I’ve attached pictures . Sad, dang day.. especially as the restaurant had already closed, so I couldn’t call or go back to get the correct food item. Ugh Edit: I’ve added a picture of where I broiled the sushi to try and make it edible for my palate. Edit 2: After broiling, the sushi was edible for me! The fish that wasn’t salmon (not sure what kind of fish it was), was overcooked after broiling so I didn’t eat that. However, I realized the sushi roll had shrimp inside of it. Does anyone know what kind of roll this was? Thanks

Andy is the man! The service here is head and tails above every other sushi place I’ve been to in Sacramento. They make you feel like family. They really care about you guys enjoy yourself. They make great recommendations and they have some of the most exclusive fish from outside the local market from Japan and south Asia in addition to the typical fair. The sushi was just absolutely phenomenal. They went above and beyond on each role and everything had its own specific flare and flavor to it both taste profile and presentation. The edamame was absolutely phenomenal. The seasoning was like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. Make sure to get some soy bombs and tip the guys there well they take good care of you and make sure you have what you need for the absolute bass sushi experience in downtown Sacramento. One last thing to this place is a bit bit of a hidden gem. It’s right behind Emma Hell or across from the IMAX theater in Sacramento and it is tucked away a little bit but walking inside you’ll love the aesthetic of this place the service everything is there.

When I say this might have been the best sushi I’ve ever had, that is an understatement. I have eaten sushi all over and have never been so impressed. The chef apparently trained under a lot of folks in high end restaurants across California before deciding to open his own restaurant so you’re getting the skill of a high end chef at a reasonable price point. The mixing of flavors leaves NOTHING to be desired and is done so artfully.

I brought a colleague from out of town here during our lunch break, I could have sworn it used to be called something different. Anyways, we were there just past noon, and waited for maybe 5 minutes for a table. As far as I could tell, there was one gal working the floor with a man assisting. When we were seated, we waited for about 20 minutes to order, which seemed excessive. The restaurant was no more than half full, and I don't recall seeing a lot of takeout orders, yet the waitress was running around like it was rush hour, and skipped over our table many time. The man had to finally come take our order around minute 20 or 25. I'm not sure what the problem or delay was. But then we waited another 10 minutes with empty plates, waiting for our check. Same thing, the waitress skipped over our table many times. We finally just got up and stood at the front desk to make it clear that we needed to pay and leave.

The food was okay, nothing noteworthy. I got a bento box with spicy chicken, it was just fried chicken bites with a spicy dry seasoning sprinkled on top, with some baked (I think) jalapenos thrown in there. It tasted good, but nothing remarkable. It's more or less the same think I'd get anywhere else. The miso soup wasn't all that great,...

Came here for lunch. We were feeling a little fancy so sushi sounds like a great choice. . Things we got. . Poke and chips - rich and savory. Fresh and light dressing on the poke fish mix. The chips was crispy. Great for sharing and a starter. . Chef choice sushi nigiri - it was a beautiful platter of fishes. There were 6 pieces and there was fatty otoro, Salmon, Tuna, Hamachi, Escolar, makarel. I loved the little touches on top with truffle and gold flakes. Loved the edible flowers for decor. . Sashimi salad - a spring mix with sashimi in the middle for you to mix. On a hot summer afternoon this dish was bussing. . Shrimp amabi nigiri - beautiful deep fried shrimp head which was so crispy to eat as is. The body was raw and on top of a bed, dipped the corner with a little soy and Wasabi, it was a winner. . Green tea mochi - one piece cut into four so it's easy to eat with a toothpick. The green tea was equally balance with bitter and sweetness. . Overall we really loved the meal. It was a great choice for lots of fresh fish on a warm afternoon. If you find this review useful, follow for more. Thanks for reading and have a...
