I’ve been seeing Broadway shows and comedy events at this venue for over three years now, but upon my most recent experience, may not be coming back. I’m a season pass holder and was excited to attend a recent Hamilton show with my family. There was a family of two adults and a child who had to be around the ages of 5-6 sitting directly in front of us. Throughout the show the dad kept playing on his phone, talking to her daughter, his daughter was climbing on the banister in front of her and even stood up a few times during the show without being told by her parents to sit back down. It was incredibly rude behavior and distracting from the show. I talked to an attendant during intermission, and two other family members of mine talked to some other attendants as well. The attendants said nothing could to done and they only speak to other guests if they’re video taping or taking photos of the performance. The second half of the act the dad and his daughter talked off and on the entire show, he continued to be on his phone, and the show was completely ruined. My spouse even asked the dad if he could stop talking as we were in the theater and he did nothing. I’m incredibly hesitant to renew my Broadway season tickets here again or see any other show here. If people are on their phones, bring rude and non-stop talking during a show and NOTHING is done about it by the staff at the venue, that is a hard pass for me to ever return. Broadway tickets aren’t cheap and I deeply feel that other guests should be able to have a positive experience as well- and that bad behavior should be addressed. Be warned that if someone is talking during a performance here next to you or being rude, nothing at this location will be...
Read moreThe show was great (Brett Goldstein), but this venue was the worst I've ever been to and I've attended dozens of shows at venues across the country. There was nothing prior to the event that said bags could only be of very limited size. That said, the 3 of us brought very small purses to be safe. We stood in line for a long time, got to the front and were told we couldn't bring them in because the straps were outside their test box. Had to run all the way back to the car and back and wait in line again. At that point, apparently, management had changed their mind and decided to allow large purses because they hadn't informed anyone. Too late for us, by the time we got in, we missed at least half of the opening act. Totally dark, couldn't see the seat numbers and the staff told us they had no idea where our seats were. Isn't that why they're there? Plus, at the end, we were all routed directly outside, with no opportunity to use the restrooms after waiting for the show to be over. There were a lot of...
Read moreDisappointed. Came to see Les Miserables. Many parts were very well done but the casting choices are ridiculous. The stand out performance was by the actor playing Javert but most other characters fell short or were not believable as peasants from the time period and place. I rarely leave a show at intermission but this night ended early for me. It was painful to listen to the 'singing' by the person assigned the role of Eponine and the person assigned the role of Jean Valjean was not believable as the man strong enough to lift a wagon and overcome Javert. Another confusing choice was to cast a black woman as Fantine, and accordingly the child Cosette was black, but then adult Cosette was white with blond hair! Or maybe I was just too far away from the stage and lost track of the story given the indecipherable majority of singing. I wanted to like it, but alas I gave up and left as soon as I could. Nice venue though, we saw Nutcracker and Shen Yun here so hope management takes note of this...
