Wow! My wife and I noticed this place as we were walking by and tried two of their flavors (was hard to choose).
You select their base ice cream popsicle (paleta) flavors, and sauces (white chocolate, caramel, or chocolate), and then toppings (almonds, peanuts, sprinkles, wafers, coconut, many others).
They were incredible.
I talked to the guy working there who turned out to be the co-owner and the person who invents the flavors and makes it all fresh daily. He says he keeps experimenting with recipes, and will introduce more flavors (I think he said he has about 15 now and wants to get to 30). It is clear he is passionate about his craft and is a wonderful example of an entrepreneur. I wish him all the luck and will frequent this place when I return (my son just moved to St. George so I will be back).
Try it! It is not inexpensive since it’s high quality. People have said $8 is too expensive. A crème brûlée across the street is $8, and is simpler to make.
I think I recall him saying it has been open almost 3 months...
Read moreI recently visited a gourmet paletas place, and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, the vibrant and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a great visit. The paletas themselves were a work of art with an impressive variety of flavors, ranging from classic fruit options to unique and daring combinations. I tried the mango-chili paleta, which offered a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, and the presentation was impeccable, garnished with fresh fruit, herbs, and high-quality chocolate drizzles. The friendly and knowledgeable staff made excellent recommendations, the worker named Magally in Particular, and the reasonable prices added to the overall appeal. This hidden gem offers a memorable culinary experience, and I can't wait to return to explore more of their...
Read moreMy family and I went to this place excited to try some paletas and support a Mexican restaurant since we’re Mexican as well. I was disappointed in the treatment we got from the young girls who didn’t want to help us or at least didn’t seem like they were happy to help us out. This was especially disappointing for my mom who is in a wheelchair and treated her like if she was burden because she’s recovering from a stroke. The girls also didn’t want to speak Spanish to us even though they were speaking it perfectly fine before I got to the front. We went again a second time but got the same outcome. Overall they customer service was terrible and we were treated like we didn’t belong at the restaurant. You’re better off buying authentic Mexican paletas at Tres Amigos. Wouldn’t...
