the only reason I am not giving a 1 star is because the food was OK. Upon walking into the restaurant we were stared at by literally everyone in the place that alone made it awkward. we got seated right in the middle of the restaurant...which normally would be fine seeing as there isn’t much seating in this place and you would expect being the center of attention you’d be noticed. That was not the case. Luckily the hostess gave us menus otherwise it would have been 20+ minutes before we even got those. The first 20 minutes we sat there and nobody said a word to us. Didn’t even look at us. Finally someone said I’ll Be right with you. Waited another 5-10 minutes before they came and got our DRINK orders. When they got there to take our drink order they said “waters are already on the way. Does anyone want any other drinks besides water?” So we’re assuming at least our drinks are coming. We were already ready to order food at the same time so we gave our drink and food orders. Wait another 15 minutes and our water finally came. The restaurant was NOT busy at this time but looking at all of the employees you’d think they each had 12 tables with 5+ people on each table. Only 2 tables out of the 10 total tables had 3+ On them. All of employees were acting like they had no idea what was going on. When our food came out it was fine. Nothing to rave about. One of our items was forgotten and got brought out to us after we were basically done eating so we asked to have that taken off because we weren’t gonna pay for it. I think that upset them because I looked up and saw our waiter and another employee talking and looking at us. Which I can only assume was that they were talking about us. I work in a very very fast paced restaurant and know how you are supposed to treat guests. This was unacceptable. This is the second time we’ve been here and the first time we had almost the exact same experience...we wanted to give it a second chance. But this will definitely...

As an out-of-towner, stumbling upon the Bear Paw Cafe during my visit to St. George, Utah was a stroke of luck! This charming little eatery captured my heart, and their breakfast burrito left me craving more. I can't help but give this place a resounding five stars for their exceptional food, cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff.

Let's start with the star of the show—the breakfast burrito. Oh my, it was a symphony of flavors wrapped in a warm tortilla! The addition of gooey cheese and a hint of zesty salsa elevated the burrito to new heights of deliciousness. I couldn't resist taking a picture to immortalize this masterpiece.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere at Bear Paw Cafe is nothing short of inviting. The cozy interior, adorned with rustic decor and warm lighting, creates a comfortable and relaxed ambiance. Whether you're dining alone or with a group, the space makes you feel right at home. It's the perfect spot to unwind, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy a quiet breakfast to start your day.

I must give a shout-out to the staff who made my experience even more memorable. The friendly and attentive servers went above and beyond to ensure my visit was exceptional. From offering recommendations to promptly refilling my drink, their warmth and professionalism were greatly appreciated. Their genuine hospitality truly sets the Bear Paw Cafe apart.

To sum it up, if you find yourself in St. George, Utah, the Bear Paw Cafe is an absolute must-visit. Their breakfast burrito alone is worth the trip, but the overall experience is what truly makes this place special. Exceptional food, cozy atmosphere, and outstanding service—it's the trifecta of a five-star dining experience. I can't wait to return and explore more of their delightful menu items. Kudos to Bear Paw Cafe for exceeding expectations and leaving a lasting impression on this...

This nice little café in pleasant downtown St. George offers some very satisfying options for breakfast and lunch. Located on Main St. in the middle of this small city, it was nicely tucked into the other businesses in that block. We walked in just before 2 PM on a Thursday, an hour before closing time. There were five or six other parties, but it was no problem to get a table in their relatively spacious dining room. The place was tidy and nicely decorated, yet it retained a modicum of simplicity to give it the feel of a Western hometown diner.

We were attended to fairly quickly. Our server Samantha did a very good job of taking care of us while we were there. The menu offered many tempting and even decadent options. I decided to try the Huevos Rancheros, which came with bacon and a salad on the side. These were done a little differently than most preparations of Huevos Rancheros that I have tried. There wasn't much in the way of a "Mexican-style" bent to them. They were very cheesy but not very spicy. But they were still good and a little Tabasco or Frank's can always take care of the spice! My wife went the route of decadence with a Peanut Butter Waffle. This was a golden brown waffle prepared just right with whipped cream drizzled with caramel. It was finished with a few banana slices to give it a wonderful, though rich, blend of flavors.

We had water to drink so our final bill with food, tax and tip was $36. At $18 per person by today's standards, I was happy enough with the value. I should note that there was enough to take away for another small meal, thus adding to the value.

If you are in downtown St. George, I'd recommend giving this place a try. It's a great place for comfort fare. I have a partiality to downtown diners, and this...

What the heck!! We saw such great reviews of this place and were sorely disappointed. After being seated at the bar we waited 10 mins for water, 10 mins for a non-refillable $3 glass of homemade choc milk (you know, the cheap kind you make at home with choc syrup and reg milk?) And then after another 15 mins a different server took our order. 25 minutes later our food was served to us....greasy and lukewarm. Seriously? While the quality of the food might have been forgivable at $10 dollars a plate, the service was horrid. One girl wearing a grey hollister shirt (we later found out that her name was Marissa since she was too good to wear a name tag like the others) was loudly complaining about how "this place sucks!" and "NO ONE does anything until I take a break because I need a break--- NOW" Frankly I agreed. Even if that is true, any professional knows not to make a scene in the dining room. The other couple at the bar was just as irritated by her behavior, and heads were turning with disapproving glances. We finished our food quickly, and were luckilly rescued from waiting another 20 mins for service by another nearby server: Daniel (who was ringing up another guest at the time). He took care of us immediately and got us a to-go box even though he was visibly busy. He is the reason I even gave this restaurant 2 stars. That, and when they saw my shock at the non-refillable cheap chocolate milk they gave me a second glass for free. Haha. I am so so so sad....this was my celebration lunch with my husband for my recent promotion and the experience was just terrible. Bottom line- go somewhere else!
