The service at this place is abysmal. At my first time at this place, no one approached me at a table so I walked up to the “bar” looking area and ordered some food, and said “I’m grabbing this table right here” when I ordered. My food came out to go; it was a simple mixup but I ate my food out of the box in my car (after having to go back for syrup and butter for my pancakes, and a fork). Simple mixup right? So I gave them another chance. Just walked in and, per the sign, selected a table and sat and waited. There were 3-4 servers at the same bar where I had previously ordered to-go food, talking amongst themselves and rolling silverware. None of them noticed I walked in. I checked to make sure they were still open; they were with a half hour to spare. I sat and waited trying to make eye contact. A server walked through the dining room to serve drinks to another table. Tried making eye contact rather enthusiastically (didn’t say anything bc she was across the room and I would have had to shout). She turns around after dropping the drinks and heads back to the kitchen. I wait another moment still looking at the servers rolling silverware. None of them had once looked up from their conversation or side work in the now several minutes I had sat there. I continued waiting thinking there might only be one server on (servers are obviously cut throughout the shift) and by now there was only one server rolling silverware too. I got up from my table and began to approach where she was rolling silverware to ask if I could at least order to go food; I was probably 10 ft away when she gathered up the silverware and turned and walked into the kitchen (how did she not notice me?). I turned and walked out (now with no servers in the room now). As I sat there I saw another patron ask one of the servers who was rolling silverware and chatting where his toast was. She said “oops, sorry!” and went and got it. I feel sorry for anyone who attempts to be served at this restaurant. It is uncomfortable and a bad experience even after...

Read moreMy son and I tried this place out for breakfast after reading a review in MailMax. After a nice walk to avoid paying for parking, we arrived. The restaurant was clean and freshly decorated. Tables were not very close together. There weren't many people in the place when we were there.
The coffee (server said it was Maxwell House) was pretty terrible. Maybe it had been sitting on the burner too long. There appears to be a good selection on the menu. My son ordered a skillet and I ordered an omelet. Portion size was okay. Neither breakfast was impressive. They were both bland and my omelet was kind of greasy. The American potatoes seemed like something from a food service.
The server was attentive but didn't hover. I appreciate that.
My general impression is they are a decent place aimed primarily at tourist trade. Their prices are on par with the tourist economy, but I didn't feel it was a good value compared with other...
